Best Wagyu Beef Bento In Japan l BEPPU FOOD GUIDE

Yufuin is a quaint hot-spring town roughly an hour from Beppu, pocketed in beautiful landscapes of Western Japan.
Boasting a beautiful lake, it is surrounded by traditional Japanese streets offering unique foods and items! Yufuin was an amazing food-paradise, and we had the chance to try 3 different places!
The highlight is the Wagyu beef bento box (a lunch box that is popular in Japan), that blew us away. Honestly, we discovered the best food to eat in Japan in Beppu - specifically, Yufuin.

雞天婦羅 里や (Tenpura satoya)
Amazingly soft Yufuin chicken - a cup sized snack that is waiting for your mouth, made to order, it paired perfectly with lemongrass sauce.

The highlight of our trip. The best bento box we had the very pleasure of tasting. We ordered the Wagyu beef and the Unagi (japanese eel). The perfectly cooked rice was blanketed with rows of Wagyu beef and Unagi, making our mouths water. Paired with the Yufuin lemongrass sauce, it was the most delicious japanese lunch we've ever had. You gotta try it!

Finally, we tried the famous roll cakes filled with cream. Honestly, we were stuffed to our necks, and the dessert made our day even better. So creamy!

Hey! the beef bento was 2500 Yen! between the two of us, 2 packs (Beef and Unagi) was sooooo filling! Totally worth it!
