HUGE THANKS to ExpressVPN for offering all Food Ranger viewers 3 months free and 49% off their yearly package using this link: ExpressVPN.com/Thefoodranger . Travelers need ExpressVPN to stay safe online and to unblock any site. I personally use it for Netflix, even while at home in Canada, but also while traveling to unblock content and episodes that are geoblocked, and I also use it for security, because airport wifi and hotel wifi is often very insecure, leaving my data vulnerable. By connecting to one of their servers around the world, it’s just like my computer or phone is in that location, and all data sent while connected to their VPN is secure, safe, and private from others to see, so I know that my data won’t be hacked or looked at by others. Thanks so much for watching, and we have tons more videos coming up for you! Please leave me a comment below letting me know what you thought about this episode, thanks so much!!!

Thank you so much for this video and tip about VPN. I am from India and I am going to do my first solo budget trip to Shanghai next week.I was looking for places to explore and food to eat. Do you have videos on how to get to these locations? It will be a great help for someone like me who doesn't speak Chinese. Are there food enthusiasts groups I could reach out to for help while in Shanghai?

Ive seen the worst of Chinese tourist from videos and personal experiences on the daily commute and im ashamed to say Ive judge them wrongly, this video showed me that people from the city where good morals and values does exist or thought are way way different from the people we see in videos, too many times do we forget that in the media today the bad would always take center stage from the good maybe because the bad gets more views. this video showed me the hospitality and generosity that i would never have seen if id only take what the popular media dishes out. How many westerners do you think speak Chinese? I visited a friend stationed in Germany one time. While he was working I was walking around and seeing the sites. I was offered a ride around to the nearest bridge by someone when the ferry appeared broke down on the other side of the river. My friend told me later that the Germans "didn't do that." Well, obviously they do. Don't judge a country until you meet the locals.

This was the coolest thing ever! I can't speak Chinese nor am I Chinese, but I felt like the Chinese people were my own when I understood what they were talking about. Being of the Samoan culture, respect and reverence are key to our daily lives. Seeing how the Chinese people interacted with one another made me feel like they were Samoan and/or I was Chinese. I would love to visit China, but I'd want to learn basic Chinese before I did! Loved the video man!

+The Food Ranger hey dude if the guys that offered you the dumplings was Muslim it is considered rude in Muslim culture to have food in your hand and not offering to to your group or in a close vasinty . I recommend next time in turn if you have some thing sharable offer it to then also and insist max 2-3 times

It would be rare, not because we are unfriendly, but because it is not considered good etiquette. That said, i was in a restaurant in San Antonio and I had inquired about a woman's food choice. She asked me if I wanted her to put some on a plate for me. I kindly declined.
