The Greeks say that the Turkish breakfast belongs to them, but they are wrong. Since they lived under Ottoman rule for centuries, they were influenced by our traditional dishes, desserts and musical instruments. the pilav rice dish with the meat and the beans in tomato sauce is what I miss most from Turkey. I love the kebabs and pides and what not but that simple workers meal of a rice dish connected with me like nothing else. I learned to make it myself, I miss it so much, but I can't do it as well as the one I've eaten in Turkey. My soul yearns for it. If I ever return to Turkey one day, this will probably be the reason why.

piyaz is not like this, you should taste "Antalya" piyaz with vinegar, tahini, egg and so on. It's very different than other salads in the world and you're definitely gonna love it! 🇹🇷
