This game has been out for a little while, so any bugs should have been fixed by now. This is basically "Subnautica" with an aircraft. The ship is essentially your base from that game. Even the intro. cinematic was similar to "Sub", which I was an official playtester on. Even got my name in the credits. :)

This is a great game, so glad you're giving it a try! They've added quite a bit to the intro/"tutuorial" since the last time I played several months ago. They never had that hand extractor until later game, just started with the scanner. I'm eager for its release as I've held off on playing until then so I don't have to keep repeating all the things.

Pro tip, don't take the solid state batteries from the platform beacons until you have looted everything else. That way you always know if you have fully looted a platform. Also don't take the SSBs if there is an area on the platform you can't access until later in the game, trying to find a platform again after you've deactivated the beacon can really suck.
