Love a lot of these ideas and it helped me come up with my own ideas...I am thinking that instead of working with parts of me, I want to work with different animal guides for different workings based on the elemental energies of the animal and how I relate to it...but I want to figure out how to do it without appropriating Native American traditions, because I don't want to be THAT person. LOL. I like that anything goes in chaos magick, but also I'm sure you'd agree (based on your previous content) that we need to have a strong internal moral compass. I like that your ideas of practicing chaos magick are fun and not problematic! Thanks for creating and sharing another great video!
@kelly-annmaddox7 ай бұрын
Yes, I'm very keen to ensure that my ideas aren't snatched from stuff that's not for me. The way I see it is that literally everyone you meet (pretty much) had a strong sense of their favourite animals and animals that felt really special to them from a super young age. A lot of people have certain animals that they dream about or have images of in their homes - animals that they relate to and feel deeply for. I think that magickally we can just take those inclinations and expand on them. for instance, I don't know anything about the way any Native groups work with spirit animals, nor would I use the term 'spirit animal' in my practice (and I notice that you're the same). But I do know that I've been dreaming about horses for years and that they turn up in my dreams to communicate specific things, so I just lean into that spiritually. I also know that I was naturally vegan in childhood and made myself literally vegan as soon as I realised that my heart was 'wired' that way. All of this demonstrates the natural importance of animals in my practice without utilising any practices from other cultures.

Listening to your perspective on parts work and tulpas in your magickal practice was fascinating. We are an OSDD system that can relate to many but not all aspects of those topics due to how our disorder has affected our brain's structure, experience of consciousness, and self-understanding. I actually for a brief time had thought I somehow accidentally created tulpas before learning about OSDD, since the two experiences have so much overlap. And, it was parts work in therapy that first brought certain alters to light and helped me discover them and the rest of the system. So, all that to say, it was an excitingly unique experience to listen to your stories on this and we're glad you shared it!

Thanks so much for this video, always fascinated to hear what the great sorceress Kelly-Ann is experimenting with! I’ve been dabbling with being able to invoke a magical personality at will. Sort of how with glamour magic you can put on a set of clothes/jewellery and feel really powerful and like a different person. Well I’m doing that but without the use of clothes or any physical object or symbol, just being able to do it with my mind and will alone. And I’ve therefore been experimenting with calling upon an archetype, fully embodying it for a particular working or situation, and then casting off this magical personality when I’m done with it.

I don't have a tulpa, but I have built an entire imaginary living world of characters that I live a parallel life with, complete with story lines and interdimensional portals. Although I have a general outline of how I want the fantasy to play out, I am often surprised at how the characters will respond in conversation with me; reacting in ways I could not have predicted, teaching me wisdom that I don't have and say things that are not from my personality. I've learned a lot from them! Most likely in those times I'm channeling my higher self. Who knows, but I will say that I have benefitted.

Sorry I type a lot, I just feel excited to discover these brand new (to me) ways to experiencing things. I'm learning from you a lot of these ideas for the first time. :) I'm just SO new to so many aspects of spirituality and ways of celebrating it. My spiritual journey is slowly developing, only just became spiritual about 3 weeks ago and have completely identified with Pantheism. And now I'm dabbling in Paganism, and slowly learning about different deities and considering doing some "imagination conjuring" like you spoke about in a really old video, I don't think I could ever truly believe they exist, but I do really like the idea of enjoying and appreciating them from a spiritual Pantheistic way. It feels very freeing to think that I can appreciate them and feel connected to them without necessarily believing they're literally real. Magic in these ways you're speaking of also sounds like something I might be able to get behind, which a few weeks back when I first realised I believe in a sense of divinity, I would not have considered magic or deity worship.. but in just a short time my journey is developing! Though... this might be a silly question, but.. can males be "witches" as you describe it? 😅 I'm sure you can, but perhaps under a different title. Also, it's nice to hear you say "you can have a nice Metal experience" because for me a huge reason why I got around to the conclusion that I have so much reverence for nature, was because of Black Metal! All of it really, but especially the at mospheric Nature/Pagan Black Metal, which is a huge part of the genre. That music helps me feel so connected to nature. Anyway sorry for typing a lot, I'm just excited about this brand new journey and new ideas. :) You have been a huge help. I find so many of your ideas and ways of looking at this fascinating.

i would also love to hear more about tulpas! you talking about being chosen by Nathaniel made me all fizzy haha. it gives me a slight identity crisis, but i think I've been making tulpas not servitors this whole time. 😂 i prefer the chaote way of thinking though. my tulpas are mysterious in origin but i feel they come from the sea of my soul, so i trust them more than established entities who arent compatible with me all the time. the tulpas are more friend/servitor than god so their powers feel different too. fun stuff!
@PandorasExecutioner7 ай бұрын
I really enjoy my tulpas. they're smarter than me in key ways that i need. like one helps me with meditation and another with transmutation. so when my imagination hits a limiting belief, i go to them to crack open a new way of seeing. and when they evolved, their powers became more helpful. and that part reminds me of deity work. their voice and insight are fascinating and unexpected but often so needed

I should say I can FEEL where I am from. Words fail. Not always. It's been so heavy for so long for this world, not for long. Changes forever changes. At this very moment there is a yellow daisy growing in front of my doorstep, and there is a beetle that looks like a bee that looks like a beetle. Local crows might get him, or that pigeon I see around here. Words fail. Natural law does not fail. Ends. Ends of life, ends of names, end of meaning, end of words. One can only hope.

I LOVE the bit about your Tulpa, and it'd be amazing if you made a video just about that topic! I have a witchcraft companion that started as a servitor, but as I gave them a pretty broad range of action so they do behave more as a Tulpa. One extremely weird and fun thing that happened that I think relates a lot with what you said about them sort of being bigger than your own decision or your own creation is that I realized they have been along side me for most of my life! I used to think of them as a protective presence in my childhood and then forgot all about it… I don't know where you stand on time being non linear, but I totally think I created them and then they managed to accompany back in time as well. Hugs Kelly-Ann! Hope you have a nice weekend!

That's my policy. @kelly-annmaddox I think the scary part comes more from conditioning to not trust my own mind. I am neurospicy and tend to spend a lot of time in my own head. It's kind of like when I decided to get a deck of tarot cards to see if they were actually scary. I have the book, "Creating Magickal Entities," by David Michael Cunningham (possibly per your recommendation?) This may push me into actually reading the dang book.😅

Quick question, if you have a moment! Apologies for being a bit off topic, I'm coming from your cord cutting video! I'm a fairly experienced practitioner and I've done cord cuttings for myself before. My question is, would I be able to do a cord cutting between two other people? One of my family members went no contact with her ab*sive ex-husband a year or so ago, but she's finding that she's struggling to move on still. They don't have children or any similar additional connection and they have not spoken since. She thinks a cord cutting would help her heal, and she asked me to do it for her. I'm assuming it can be done, but I can't find any information about it. Any thoughts from you on how to make it the most effective would be appreciated!

Tulpa sounds like a spirit guide....
@kelly-annmaddox6 ай бұрын
@amandacole3737 Kind of, but the major differences are that you design a tulpa yourself and they are not just there to guide you - it's a very dynamic two-way relationship where you also sometimes guide them in return (and sometimes you're both lost in the sauce). It's basically an astral friendship.

Love all of these ideas, but I am especially excited to try giving my shadow new magickal jobs in my spellwork. Those shadowy parts of myself definitely have a lot of energy so the idea of redirecting this energy towards something more helpful is empowering. And I would be interested in hearing more about your journey with Nathaniel--from what you shared here, it sounds like a mystical and beautiful story. I also write fiction and have had experiences where the story seems to take on a life of its own and I don't feel fully in control of it. I had a poetry professor who said to me once, "Paige, you need to let your poems surprise you," and that was a major perspective shift for me. It can be scary to let go of my ideas of what a creative work should be but when I do let go, I often have profound artistic experiences.
