Superb restoration to the original, congratulations. It would be perfect without those awful headlight eyelids and those ringard white wall tires . More beautiful too with steel wheels of the same color as the bodywork while retaining the mini vw hubcap .

My dad had 3 beetles and I’ve noticed on all beetle restorations that the wing mouldings are left unpainted when on the original cars they are painted. Is it that difficult to paint them?

Nice attempt, but too many details looked over in my opinion. Why not restore the Ca Black/Gold lic plates. Passenger side angle plate bring under the carpet. Radio knobs should be same finish as dash knobs. Steering column or steering wheel needs to be changed so they match. Headlights should have a seal on the fender before buckets are installed. Roof rack and white walls are a little over the top. The devil is in the details, they did a lot of work and then fell short of the final goal. Ycats
