Theft King is a Five Nights at Freddy’s KZbinr who got himself into a pretty substantial situation the past 2 weeks. Theft King got the FNAF fandom on his case, and given my history looking into his coverage of the Poppy Playtime situation, I felt compelled to look into this situation. What I found was a person completely igniting his path in flames, and a person who practices some pretty bad habits, beyond just blatant lies like some may think. Today we’ll be taking a look into Theft King and the FNAF fandom, and what he got himself into.

I used to be a big fan of theft. I still like some of his videos, though I’m not gonna be giving him the views anymore. He really isn't fit to be a content creator He claims to follow his journalistic ethics but has done complete 180s on his beliefs and refuses to let certain sides talk despite allowing them in previous issues (Interview of Mob VS Not Interviewing Devs in The Pear) The fact that he's a 30+ years old and still whines about dumb drama involving an indie horror game about haunted robots marketed towards kids and young teens really says something He refuses to listen to his friends and any form of constructive criticism, and has constantly lied and manipulated his way to get content and paint himself as a victim I'm a former fan of Theft King's who once thought he was decent and put enough effort not just in videos but in himself too, and is very disappointed to see that he's actually this way and hope he either gets help or steps away from making that kind of drama content altogether

For anyone who is curious: I'd like to share something. fnaf seems like the community to be developing so much drama recently. But honestly, a lot of this has always been here, but the difference is. We don't start to see the drama and issues in our surroundings when we're young, but as we get older, we either start to see the issues, or become the issue because we were lead to believe the behavior was okay, because even though there were adults in 2014 and above, a lot of us including myself, were kids, I'm 21 now but was 13-14 during the first rise of the franchise. And then we also have the new wave of young fans joining in with us, the older fans, which creates a conflict of interest, and a conflict of behavior. Where some adults act out toward the kids, and vice versa, for example, theft king lashed out like a young teen at a person FAR younger than himself, Theft king is somewhere in his 30s. Things with massive communities and popularity tend to attract the worst of the worst, but it doesn't mean its all bad.

I understand that the FNAF and Poppy Playtime community has drama but making videos on "Scott's Failures" or "Why FNAF is Dead" just bums me out as a fan. Yeah I definitely don't think fnaf is dead, but I do have to admit I don't see a lot of fnaf content, it definitely has degraded, and I wasn't particularly happy about security breach but nonetheless I was excited for the lore, I think in order to maintaining a good and healthy Fandom is to reflect on the past mistakes and actions you've done in order to know when did it go wrong and how could we fix it, the Fandom is still a place I look up to till this day and I just am in awe that a bunch of people banded up to solve a really cryptic game made by one guy, I thank Scott and Steel Wool studios, if not for Scott Cawthon we wouldnt have so much fun figuring out and learning about a games history and as well as giving us a challenge to complete the game, if not for Steel Wool we wouldn't have gotten help wanted, I'm also looking forward to the new security breach DLC because Steel Woll has learned from their mistakes and they know what to change, overall the fnaf community has had some bumps but I think the minor bumps here were the people who talked negatively, it was like all of a sudden once Scott retired a barrier that blocked them from saying anything bad to a horror genius suddenly opened, i still am bummed out because even though alot are click bait there is little truth to them, I think we all have mixed emotions about fnaf, but I just wanna be glad that theft king didn't sit on a couch on the verge of tears recording an apology video with a big long sigh.

It just keeps getting worse. I’m trying to see the positive things. I really am. I use to like Theft King's content, and was manipulated to think Kane Carter was the "enemy" (who I thought was a good person at first, and still is). I check other videos and Kane's response, and immediately unsubbed from Theft, especially after the awful live stream and how he acted for his game. And, c'mon. Kane was always known to be a troll, similar to Scott (except I don't think Kane made troll games) and is the most active of the fanverse devs in the community. That's how you know he's a perfect representative for the Fanverse.

As long as there are people whose source of income is user generated, things like this will happen. The majority of online streaming and content related financial prosperity is random and fleeting and unsustainable. It's psychologically damaging to creators and streamers because those who experience intermittent viral activity end up laboring under the delusion that they "should" be able to repeat such a phenomenon on a regular basis. Which will result in otherwise decent and mostly well-meaning individuals doing desperate things to try and rekindle whatever they perceive to have been the peak of their success.

KZbin is like pulling a slot machine lever. Some people hit triple 7's and make it for life, most people don't. The occurrences that can lead to your video being featured/going viral are almost entirely out of your hands, and rely heavily on random chance.
