I found joining a sizable chamber of commerce is a good support to developing word of mouth. You have to use it wisely, find one committee to be on, do one or two events a month, find power partners and be confident in what you can do for others. After a few months submit a speaking proposal for a segment of the chamber. this is also great for beginners as you usually find a click or some supportive people to help you through the presentation as appropriate. And it compliments joining the right non-profit (which might also belong to your chamber) and throwing those spears, since you can practice your pitch with supportive prospects in the chamber.

I think their recommendation from other videos is if you think you need a lawyer, and you're doing more than just a logo, get a lawyer. Legal advice is very geocentric. Always hire someone smarter than you.

So for a split second, Jose brushed over the importance of having a good file structure. This is something I have struggled with over the years. As always thanks for the great content!

In another video you mentioned that you also ask for a referral to another possible client before you close the job. Like “do you know anyone who might need our services?”. Do you send the gift basket right after that and than you ask for a written referral for the website or do you do two referral asks and than the gift basket?
@thefutur7 жыл бұрын
i think you just ask in a genuine way. the gift basket might imply that you're buying the referral which you don't need to if you've done a good job of taking are of the customer.
@AnaMarcu7 жыл бұрын
The Futur it sounds like you would exclude gift giving altogether, am I correct? Is there a time where you would think that’s appropriate or have you changed your mind on this topic since this video?

Enjoying these! I like the informal style it's entertaining. I don't think you jumped around too much but you probably do miss a few things when you have an informal style. I like the person off camera taking notes and acting for audience asking questions. Maybe make that a more formal part of the show. Or ask me I'll do it!

Hey guys. I have a question. What would you recommend when referrals and pitching doesn't work(in order to generate clients). Would you recommend cold calling? Thanks in advance

Do what you have to. Try emailing or using LinkedIn. Job boards like crew might be a good fit. What kind of work do you do?

Hi Chris and jose, i would like to ask you, is there any marketing & sales strategies to get client beside what your mention such as referrals, social prospecting, etc or making cold call or cold email? thank you
@thefutur8 жыл бұрын
Yes. Email marketing. Generate or buy an email list targeted towards industry and people you think need your help. Create another email account and bulk email them and monitor. There are tools to help you track leads (CRM) software like Hubspot. Inbound marketing- creating content around key search strings that your clients are looking for. Create a piece of content, tool, guide, white paper, info graphic, how-to, etc... capture emails and titles. Follow up. Hire a sales rep in your industry. They'll generate leads for you. But you have to pay them and it takes time.
@haroldsurentu8 жыл бұрын
may i know if blind use this tools to? if you do, how much percentage email marketing and inbound marketing really increase your sales? and i have another question, do you recommend if company like motion studio or production company put ads in facebook, or youtube ?
@thefutur8 жыл бұрын
Blind has 4 sales reps. East, Mid-West, West and UK. We also have a direct marketing sales team. All the inbound marketing hasn't been optimized for conversion. Will be hitting this hard in 2017. But KZbin, IG, Twitter, Linked In, and FB pages are in full effect. This has increase traffic to our site year over year by 300%. We are the number one search results for certain keywords on KZbin, and top 10 search results for keywords in Google. But we haven't been optimizing based on search strings that our clients might be searching for.

Guys! I love the video. Could you do more videos about selecting and "priming" the customer? Do you really take everyone or do you have a number of questions, rituals, parties you do with him to figure out where you stand? Maybe you can make a video of how a proposal looks and how you deal with changes? What if he gives you unrealistic deadlines? What if he wants a lot of changes that were maybe touched on but not properly discussed? Give me the nitty gritty guys! I am jumping into the start up abyss!!

Hi Guys. Keep up the good work. I would like to know how to send a quotation to costumer for a big project ex. Website or animation. What shall I include except price and estimated hours? Do you guys have any example?
@thefutur9 жыл бұрын
+BALTSAR That's a complicated question but there's a simple answer. Identify what the 3 top objections the client has about working with you. Systematically answer those in your proposal. How do you do that? You could try purchasing AIB and look at several proposal templates that Jose has used in the past to close big web projects. www.theskool.co/products/agency-in-a-box You could also purchase CORE: Selling Strategy which walks through the process of how to do this and includes a Keynote template which you can modify. www.theskool.co/products/precore-1-0

Great video guys! When you were talking about lead generation and how to grow the network and get clients, I was expecting you to talk about the importance of keeping the partnership with suppliers close and strong. I'm saying this because I own a small-3-person branding studio, and there is a lot of work that we do not do - such as deep marketing research, content socialmedia or adwords - that we count on partners that we trust to point out to the client will even offer a joint proposal. I feel like this way they can do the same for us and then we can get both more clients. What do you think about that? Do you think it's important?
@andrewwelch58 жыл бұрын

Simple way's of thinking how to get client's . I started my Design Business with 0 knowledge . I struggle and learn a lot .The first think what we did is like take time understand who will be the target audience.There's are lot of people in social networking sites . But here the question is how we can get the right audience who are really interested in your service.You cannot target anyone who come's and like's your post .If anyone come's and ask you bro what's the price you charge for this service then that makes a sense . You need to think after so much posting you got only one person who came and ask for your service. What happened to the rest how can i target them .Think on it .
