Ford Sync GPS fix Sync 2 to 3 GPS reprogramming the APIM

My Nav in 2019 F350 just stopped working. Dealer tried to fix, said I need new apim. I don't think they are trying hard enough. Do you have the apim spread sheet? I don't see a link to it.

Great stuff, can nav be added to a sync 3 no nav apim? Anyone knows what is the BT adapter he uses?

@@testos2701 It is technically possible to add navigation to a non navigation apim, but it's not something that the average person can do you would need to buy a GPS chip and open up the API in itself. Wouldn't recommend it. Here is the Bluetooth adapter amzn.to/4gjCHMe

hello I have a problem with my module, I get the Ford emblem and then a black screen, I removed the battery for a few minutes, I reset Syng with diagnostics and again a black screen, the radio works, but I can't adjust the frequencies, the disc is inside and I can't get it in, but it reads it and my music plays did they have any way to flash the module and what the flashing is done with

Hey, I have a 2016 Ford Fusion that did not come with Nav. If I find another APIM at the junkyard, can I replace mine it and have Nav?

You will need to reprogram with a computer and make sure you use have the gps module

@@gagefixeseverything Hey thanks for this. I just got a Focus Titanium, Sync 3.2 Dealer says it came from the factory with no GPS but it has the shark fin and the touchscreen (just not NAV button). Do you know how to check to see if it has a the GPS module to start with? IF it has that then I willl try Forscan. Thanks!

Thanks for the video. I have a 2015 f150 that came factory with the A10 navigation card. I did a sync 3 upgrade and purchased a new gps antenna as well as the splitter cable. However, navigation still does not work. Do you think this is what I need to do to get it to work? Thanks!

Yes, if the GPS antenna is plugged in properly ( and the part isn't bad) you will need to do the reprogram !

I have a 2012 ford Explorer just upgraded to sync 3 and my climate will not work at all and I lost the seek feature on the steering wheel 😒😒 haven’t had any luck on how to fix it yet.

You will need all the codes from the old APIM to re flash to new one to be the same. If you have lost this capability, it will need to be reprogrammed manually.... Possible, but most shops wont do it. The dealer will, and we do it.

Hey there! Sync 2-3 upgrade was the single best thing I ever did to that car. It brought it up to speed with modern vehicles. I am not sure about the AliExpress units, but the kit i bought on amazon worked great

I've looked at so many videos trying to figure out this '15 Ford fusion titanium. I dont know what the numbers are supposed to be in the box because everyone that has a ford, uses different numbers. People even have code sheets that tells them what to put where and ehat it does and i can't find anything like that for ky car. I don't have navigation that shows on my screen in the top right (just "information") and i can go into settings and see my latitude and longitude, so im assuming it has the ability?? How do i know if it has a GPS module (reading the comments in here)? Im prolly waisting my time.

You have sync 2, you'll have to completely upgrade to a sync 3

Is your radio sync 3 or 2? They are different.
