Our list of potential summer arrangements is easily two or three times as long as what ultimately got chosen. While some great contenders just barely missed the cut, some were on the list from the very beginning. In fact, Passing Breeze may have been the very first thing added
(though it was the last arrangement finished). Video game big band ConSoul provides the rhythm section, featuring solos by their incomparable members on vibraphone (Felipe Fournier), drums (Gal Gershovsky), and bass (Mitch Friedman). The Game Brass expands their roster to give this the big band feel typical of a ConSoul track.

I am thoroughly convinced that this is the best arrangement of Passing Breeze this side of the SST Band themselves. It remains faithful to the original, but with its own unique flavor that transforms it into a song all your own; in other words, it's exactly what a good cover song should be!

UTTERLY superb! Outrun is such a joyful game and you've perfectly captured that spirit. The music has always been such a huge part of that experience, spawning a whole musical sub-genre in recent times. I regularly trawl KZbin to find the most interesting cover versions of Outrun tunes (there are a lot) but I've struck pure gold with this - easily the best tribute I have ever had the pleasure of hearing.
