I've never really thought about the whole spin backwards to find the old threads thing, makes complete sense. Picking up little tips like this is part of the reason why I enjoy watching these videos. My uncle is a former automotive tech turned industrial mechanic(better $$$$ and treatment). He helps me out whenever I crash and screw up my bike and I've learned so much, videos like this remind me of that.

in the time it's taken this build to take place i've rebuilt a fully crashed r6. surprisingly, the r6 despite being wrecked was honestly in better condition overrall in comparison to his bike 😂

That type of screw is used on airboxes because the alternative(heat press brass inserts) is heavier, more expensive, and more difficult to put together.

Monster Fairings are notorious for not fitting properly, especially around the tank. I don't know why Gixxerbrah likes them so much, there's always a fitment issue whenever I see a video with these fairings. There's either a reason like you said maybe it gets fixed with heat? Not sure but I'm not a fairing expert to know, maybe they're just bad or something

I will say that brahs tank has a huge dent. That might be distorting it or not letting it sit flat.

With mine for my 2016 zx10r I had such a hard time fitting some parts. In the end I still had gaps and shit. After about 8 months of riding the plastics around the sides of the tank has had the paint worn down and even snap on the bolt hole. Thought they were a good brand but well staying away from them now.

@@deathwing491 See that's what I've heard too, fuck... I really wanted to go with them. The paint they use is like the worst quality ever, and some are (correct me if this is not the right term) hydro dipped but treated extremely poor so you breath at the finish and it scuffs it or peels away.
