This is a really great interview. Should be a 60 Minutes episode. Adu suffered from the toxic media and just arriving on the scene a little too early. Had he come into US Soccer now, he would have had it right. He paved the way for the players we have now.

I think all the pressure and expectations got to his head. I don't blame him for trying to go to Europe and challenging himself but I think he should stayed in the MLS a bit longer just so that he could play more and develop properly. Hope he can play for the US again.
