For anyone wanting to have a go on Star Trek - 25th Anniversary, you will need a copy of the star map that came in the box to know where to go which you can find online. Acts as copy protection as the charts in game have no names visable on screen and if you go to the wrong place, an impossible to beat ship will decloak and blow you up. Classic point and click adventure mixed with bridge / space combat sim once you get into it.

Best computer I ever owned in the early 90s as a kid even to this day nothing touches it in terms of fun… the small game companies that made the software like bitmap brothers etc were excellent… so much more imagination.. shame they all got bought up by huge cooperations

Xtreme Racing, bought it when new, played it so much at Uni on my accelerated 1200. Made a website back then hosting loads of tracks as it had an editor. Still play it now on my 030 CD32 and recently picked up the big box version again for the shelf

Can you not reconfig your Pad for Slam Tilt ? I loved Star Trek but I did not like the Combat. Do you need Tower Assault when you have the 92SE ? I just got my A500 mini and tried to add Putty Squad = no go = black screen Added: Addams Family, Superfrog, Darkseed, Blood-net, Desert Strike, EOTB 2, Hero Quest + Space Crusade, Lost Vikings, MoonStone, SWOS, Universe, Syndicate and ViroCop.

well, i started in late 1989 with my A500, mostly for Tracker music and graphics . my Last Amiga were the 1200, and my Personal game favorites were Rock'n'Roll, Superfrog, Flimbos Quest, Rodland, Super Skidmarks AGA, Goal, Transplant, Deluxe Galaga AGA, Lotus Esprit Turbo 1-3, Jaguar XJ220, Megaball AGA, Swiv, Pinball Fantasies, Battle Squadron, Lemmings, A-Train, Dynablaster etc.. great memories :) many greetings from Germany..

Having owned one back in the 90's but having sold it off i've found the ports on the Switch with the CRT filter and various options to capture them to perfection with no issues i can spot. They have about 98% of the library on there. Controls work great on the pro controller.

One question, a500 mini can handle correctly AGA games without issues? Blood, Doom II, Duke Nukem 3D, Ezhumrd ports and gloom deluxe for example too? Im not sure if the emulation is perfect with more complex games like that ones (im considering to buy one). Thanks who answer me 🙏

Fighting Spirit is more of an SNK game in the style of games like World Heroes and Fatal Fury. But this game running on an Amiga CD32/AGA WOW! Absolute mind-blowing visuals! It puts the US gold ports of SF2 to absolute shame, but then again that was the A500 and no AGA.

Please get Elf Mania (it's an of OCS game) but it looks amazing! best looking fighting game ever made on the Amiga... even though it's a normal Amiga 500 game.. it looks MUCH better than Fighting Spirit

Slam Tilt looked like it had some crazy flicker when zoomed out. Was this just from the video capture or does it do that during normal zoomed out gameplay because of the scaling?

Probably due to flicker fixer emulation. Zoomed out mode was shown on Interlaced screen mode on real things.

Great video. Just to clarify something in case someone doesn't know, the Star Trek game you showed, is actually a point and click graphic adventure, with some action sequences (like space battles). Most of the game is like the classics Monkey Island, Leisure suit Larry, etc. 12:20 oh you are killing me! You are a good experienced gamer. Pang mechanic? Oh come on! Asteroids. ASTEROIDS! :) It's amazing how good many of these games still look today. From a purely superficial point of view. Gameplay obviously is not that surprising when it remains good after all these years.

Here are some AGA recommendations you could check out, most of them are quite good. XP8, Bloodnet, Bubble And Squeak, Exile, Humans 3, Marvins Marvellous Adventure, Second Samurai, Reshoot R, Shadow Fighter, Watchtower, Wiz, Impossible Mission 2025, Legends, Gunbee F-99, Center Court 2, The Speris Legacy, Black Viper and Alien Breed 3D 2. Here are two that you should check out, they are not AGA but looks and plays very well. Snow Bros And Liquid Kids

You can run Extreme Racing on far better 1*1 resolution most likely without FPS-performance getting a dip on A500 mini. You seem to play the game on default low 2*2 resolution here. Resolution can be changed via numeric keypad.

Super Stardust is well worth playing through to one of the 'warp stages', where the perspective shifts and suddenly you're flying through a massive tunnel with all sorts of things hurtling towards you. Graphically, it's absolutely gorgeous, albeit really tricky to get through without your saceship blowing up! Slamtilt was always a favourite of mine - the Night of the Demon table is brilliantly atmospheric, but my favourite was the pirate table, with so many modes and mini-games to enjoy. If Putty Squad's 2013 release was unexpected, how about Mutation Software? They recently returned to developing for the Amiga after more than 20 years and released another platformer, similar to Tin Toy, called Wiz - Quest for the Magic Lantern, in 2020! They are now developing CyberPunks 2, a sequel to their 1993 game, to be released next year.

So many great choices in this video! Fighting Spirit has amazing graphics and reminds me a lot of Fatal Fury on the Neo Geo/Arcade which is one of my favourite games. My favourite thing about Fatal Fury is a 2nd player can join in and help you give the CPU character an absolute pasting 2 v 1. Fighting Spirit is very expensive on the Amiga as I recall, though I guess technically you don't have to own it to put it on your Amiga mini haha. Though I always prefer to actually own games. I have fond memories of playing Dangerous Streets against my Dad on the Amiga CD32 and him picking this clown character with springs on his feet. When I hit him he'd fall down before springing back up again just in time to get punched again and repeat the process. My poor Dad didn't stand a chance, but I used to find it hilarious! Definitely one of the funniest experiences I've ever had in gaming haha.

Yes, that did exist on the Amiga. Unfortunately, on the Amiga 500, the scrolling was very jerky - so I feel the C64 version was much better. On the other hand, maybe on an AGA machine, the Amiga version would perform better...

A game that does not get enough love is Typhoon Thompson in search for the sea child from Brøderbund. The PD games Transplant and Microbes are really good as well. Of the weirder variety there is Wicked and The Sentinel.
