FYI I have a 2006 SI K20Z3 CT Engineering supercharged (low boost), planning to drive from VA to CT to visit family in coming weeks, just did Skunk2 radiator upgrade, new alt, rebuilt starter... has several other goodies

Best way to remove those trans cable clamps/clips is using channel locks and wiggle upwards.

@jking3684 come to upstae ny, you won't be saying the same thing, either its bent, rusted or the side that's good isn't the one that you need and someone else took it, if it's for the sedan there's a dozen for them but can't say the same for the coupe

Only because I told ins. I want to keep it, so they deducted like $350 from settlement. I’d rather keep car than take $350. I mean hell, my xxr’s, exhaust, rbc, oil cooler are worth like $1500 alone!

@@TheGerbsteve You might want to inspect the oil cooler very carefully for glitter and thoroughly clean it before you sell or reuse it since the engine blew up and likely got a bunch of glitter into the oil. The oil flows through the cooler before the filter, so it tends to catch quite a bit of glitter when something comes apart.

I'd recommend the plugs, coilpacks, too chain guide and 50*vtc and the shift knob too. But rip. So sad seeing Midnight like this knowin she's gonna be gone. Edit: possibly the dipstick if you plan on going k24 again in the future.

Took coilpacks/guides because they are newer. I have two, new, oem 50 Vtcs, so I’m leaving this one on there. I’m sad to see her go too, but her chapter is over.. just finishing up a few more things and she’ll be getting towed out 😢

@@TheGerbsteve painful brother. You're prob still in shock? I mean, the upside is, you still have your other FG2 on the side so hopefully that can be something to ease the sting. As for my FA5...Idk bro, I plan on keeping it in my family as long as possible. Once my son can drive, hopefully she'll still be holding up. I swear, everytime I watch your wrenching videos, it gives me an itch to take my car apart for no reason 😅

My Bank1 S1 02 is throwing a code, so I have to swap that. Do you have video on that? Guessing its super simple. I'm a total newb, but doing my first altenator tomorrow overt he weekend. Will take it slow. Planned is winter swap, headlight housings, alternator.

You can damage the shift linkage doing it that way, pry in a safe spot IF necessary, you really should use vice grips or really good pliers and pull it up and off like a man! jus sayin 🫠

should have just moved the shift cable to the side a lil bit and took the bracket off and left the cables connected.

@jking3684 cost is different per state, process etc. Sometimes it's not worth it, in my state you usually gotta wait a month or so for a response and half the time they make you come back again, the process it's shady at times

Got the mani off and pulling the trans. Head is clean, but I’m not going to bother with it man. Just trying to get car towed out and start a new chapter.
