please help me understand why people are paying $40,000 for a toyota camry? before the pandemic a 2019 lexus es350 was $34,000 with the same exact v6 toyota upcharges $4k for??? we allow prices to go up by continuing to pay these inflated prices. repossessions are up 230% since 2021. inflation + overpaying for a car will keep you in the poor house!!!

I love that you mention its comfortable and that its so notable you put it on your feature highlight list. You also mentioned a certain trim of Lexus has the best seats and that the magnetic variable suspension is the best, too. Really helpful to know, no one else really mentions these things when its probably the main factor in buying a vehicle - you want to feel as little of the bad roads out there as possible and not how well a car handles or something no one is out there racing on the roads lol quiet cabin levels are nice to mention too.

I love this generation Camry a lot but just 2 small complaints: the ‘23 models should’ve come with the new Toyota Audio Multimedia system and they somehow should’ve improved both engine choices with some low end torque so it can get up faster and go rather than it being deleted for 1-2 seconds. These are the only 2 things keeping me from getting an SE (my preferred) trim.

Too bad you did not review the '23 Camry XSE V6. I did enjoy your "Final Thoughts" and very much agree with the last "Front End Design is Polarizing" or best said awful designed looking grill. Would have been great to have Fog Lamps. Interior, Full Digital Instrument Cluster, updated Infotainment system, sleeker and better Dashboard, replace the JBL tweeters as high end is very distorted and tone down the woofer as too heavy on the bass, and finally Wireless Android and Apple Play connect. I was seeking to buy a 2022 Honda Accord 2.0T Touring but difficult to find with low mileage and decent price. Therefore, decided to purchase the 2023 Camry XSE V6 as this will be the last year Camry will have the 3.5L V6. I paid MSRP $41,305 with most of the Optional Packages included. It's on the way to the dealership before New Year's.

Nice Camry colour - great review ! I have one and like it so much I will probably upgrade to the 2024/25 model. A much better drive than the RAV4. Yes! the comfortable drive suspension is world class !

I just ordered a 2023 Camry SE. It was a very nice car to test drive. I dove the Canry se and then the Corolla xse. No contest I bought the Camry. Luckily I wanted a white one as the manager came to see me and said they had a white se coming the first week of November.

@@domonicdaniels7458 I'm very happy with it. It's an LE, base trim. Very solid, great on gas with a naturally aspirated engine, so simple maintenance. I think that most bugs are worked out of it. About $30k out the door in my area..NJ

I have a 2018 Camry, love this car...but it needs a new redesign soon. The rest of the toyota lineup has already moved on. Hell even the Prius looks wild. The Venza looks crazy slick, With the honda accord releasing their new design and it being pretty....uninspired. Great opportunity to really knock it out of the park. Really excited to see the next gen.

Get the Sonata. You won't be disappointed. I really ate my words with my second Camry (which broke down a total of 4 times and had to be towed to the dealership). I had a Hyundai Sonata as a rental car for a little over a month when the dealership was trying to figure out what was wrong with my Camry and the Sonata was light-years ahead of the Camry as far as interior quality, fit and finish goes. The ride was the same as the Camry as far as smoothness over bumps and rough pavement goes.

It’s tough to choose the upcoming Corolla cross hybrid when the Camry hybrid gets an entire 10mpg more, more power, faster, more range, more spacious, and easier to buy at the listed price, the regular cross is already hard enough to find and buy, now imagine how much of a pain the cross hybrid is gonna be? And for what? A slight facelift, higher price, and mediocre mpg?

The only thing I've been doing with it was pretty much putting gas in it, oil changes every once in a while, and I changed the brakes a few times but that's pretty much it. The 2 things that they are unimpressed with are that the door seals let the dirt right into the cab on gravel roads and their are no vents for the back seat or under the front seats, so their kids are going to freeze their toes in the back seat during the winter.

Great review. I'm trying to get into a Camry eventually..I test drove the xse and the v6 TRD..I have a 21 accord 2.0 bought it after Toyota didn't want to negotiate and Honda did. Toyota has nice options and like the dashcam option. All you Camry owner what is your actual mpg?

After owning the accord for a few days, I found myself unable to get comfortable in it and the fuel tank is noticeably smaller. The Camry I believe in much larger cabin space wise too. Just my opinion.

Thanks for the reply, my current car (GR86) is small, but I love it, the wife not so much. For that reason I was looking for a replacement. I already test drove a Subaru Legacy XT, nice car but lacked sporty feel. The Accord 2.0t and TRD Camry are next on my list. The Lexus IS300 AWD is also in my list but lacks Apple CarPlay.

I found a used 21’ TRD last week, so I checked it out. It had 10k on it and it was priced at $40k. The exhaust system was cool as well as some of the cosmetic things, but honestly it’s just a Camry SE with a v6 and some cosmetic goodies. I like the XSE better. With the TRD, no nav, no sunroof, seats aren’t as nice as an XSE, no head up display. None of those are even options on a TRD.

@@fivesfilms You’re exactly right, I found a new one that was already sold and the dealer let me sit in it, he told me exactly what you said, I asked about a XSE V6 he told me Toyota won’t make them, he knows they are on the website. Toyota only wants the TRD model to be the only one that has the v6.

Beautiful reliable sedan. There are more cars that offers more for cheaper the price but Toyota will last you forever with regular maintenance. The other brand that has the same prestige of reliability is the Honda brand.

@@Scott-mu4xw I've owned a 2021 for over a year. The best seats I've ever seen in a car. So comfortable and that thigh extension is great for long legs. Yeah, its pretty smooth and quiet, but not exhilarating. That said, it hauls ass when you need it to. Great for long trips. BTW, if you only had it for five days you didn't "own it". I've had loaners and rental cars longer than that.

No.. the Accord is not better.. I got rid of a 2019 Accord EXL 2.0 .. the infotainment screen blacked out at times the turbo leaked oil at times and it did not ride all that good on certain roads. I bought a new 2021 Camry in the Windchill Pearl white with two tone gray leather interior with the sonar detection.. it is a much better car than the Accord and 10 times smoother and much more fuel efficient and reliable.
