This is the review ive been waiting for ! Just ordered this board in a 158w for my size 11 boots. Going to be riding it with Rome Vice bindings and Vans Invado Pro Darrel Mathes edition boots. East Coast of Canada. Ive heard nothing but great things with this since the overhaul of the 24/25 model boards. Cant wait to get it out .

Thanks! That's a nice combo and I think it should have enough grip for all but the hardest days. Would love to hear how it works for you.

@thegoodridesnow I'll comment back here and let you know after I get a chance to get it out. Still won't be here for another week or so. Love your reviews .

For someone who’s in early intermediate level looking for a do-it-all board, Assassin or the Dancehaul? I’m still mastering my carving. I don’t hit parks (yet) but I love hitting side hits. I also love going into the trees and just cruising around the resort 🏂
@thegoodridesnowАй бұрын
Probably the Dancehaul based on the info I have.

Hi James! I ride the Rome Stale Crewzer 22/23. So, it’s a beautiful all mtn freestyle but it’s not forgiving. I think the assassin is in this family board. Is the assassin more forgiving or similar? I’m looking for a good all mtn freestyle that push when i want and allows me to stay relaxed when I wan’t to push. The profile of the assassin is similar to my dancehaul and I love it

The Assassin is less directional but more forgiving and might be a great alternative to the Crewzer if you still want similar pop. Just get the 2025 with ABS in the sidewall and don't get the older models with cork/bamboo on the outside with no ABS. This will be a great compliment to the Dancehaul giving you a great 2 board quiver.

How does this compare to the Yes typo and out of them which one do you prefer?
@thegoodridesnow13 күн бұрын
Assassin has more camber and more pop. The Typo has better grip and is a little more forgiving. I would probably go Assassin if you want a mtn freestyle ride as long as you go with the 2025 model with ABS sidewalls. If it's the older model with cork/bamboo sidewalls all the way to the rail then get the Typo.

Any plans to review the Huck Knife?

Sorry but they didn't have it for demo last year. Will try this year.

How’s the torsional flex? Does it have a decent amount of twist for low speed technical riding? I’m torn between the assassins and the rally cat for a daily driver resort board. Need something that wants to play and jump every side hit but can wiggle through the tight technical areas and be forgiving enough when I’m fatigued. Rally cat might be too soft but this board could be the ticket if its got decent twist.
@thegoodridesnowАй бұрын
More than the Rally Cat and pretty medium. This would be a great call if you have something else for powder.

@@thegoodridesnow bought the 156 on a whim and rode 5 cold days in colorado. I have no regrets. This thing is a fun resort board that ticks all the boxes of a happy medium daily driver. Board madness has officially ended. I'm taking this one to the grave.

I’m between the vans infuse. Thirty two tm2 db. And the ride fuse. Please someone help me decide. For the record I have tried them all on and they fit well enough
@marvshredsАй бұрын
I had all three boots and If all of these are comfy for you, I suggest (being the owner of 4 pairs) to choose Fuse as they have the best flex retention and the "easiest" liner (wrap liner is absolutely worth it), they are the lightest too and they have the smallest footprint. That all together makes them the best for me. However Infuse is warmer and the liner is more plush and is TM2 is stiffer and more responsive. I would still prefer Vans over 32 due to 32's massive footprint, which I hate.
@thegoodridesnowАй бұрын
It really comes down to what calls to you. @marvshreds said it right with the Fuse keeping its flex the longest, TM2 is good too bit behind ride and Infuse a distant third. I found the footprint of all three of these in a size 9 pretty close but it varies depending on boot size and neither of you mentioned your size. I'd go Ride if flex retention/great adjustability and heel hold is most important and at the cost of good shock absorption. I'd go TM2 if you want better shock absorption and Vans if you like the feel of almost no sole under your front foot like you are skating and great adjustability at the cost of flex retention.

The Pro or Super Doa?
@thegoodridesnowАй бұрын
Depends on what you want from a board. If you want a lighter twin that pops really well for it's mellow camber profile and love lapping the kicker line in the park or getting air off everything you see go Super DOA. If you like to set it back in pow and get modest directional float, want more camber and like to turn as much as you do get air go Assassin Pro.
@StefanMaileyАй бұрын
@ Great insight! Thanks. I have a BSOD from a few years back. 162 with a 159 waist. So looking for a responsive twin. I also have an older Ride Helix. 2017 ish. Looking for tech , I guess. Lol. 158 wide looks to be the right fit. 6’ with size 10.5 boot. 185 pounds. 26cm waist width. Super DOA.
@thegoodridesnowАй бұрын
That Helix was fun for the time. S DOA has a similar camber profile and If I remember correctly, less camber but more pop due to construction. That's the better call over the Assassin Pro if you want a true twin. The Assassin Pro will give you more spring out of a turn though and grip better but the SDOA will feel lighter more playful/easy to butter.
