Top tip for this work: just attach the new cable to the old one using some tape.... then, just pull the old out and the new will do the same twists and turns and stay in place! ;) no need to dissassemble half of the bike!
@TheGorillaBiker Жыл бұрын
I've done that since also but I prefer feeding it thru myself. No real reason 😂 Disassembling half the bike as you say was to show how to do exactly that also.

My clutch is very hard so wondering is it problem with cable or either with clutch plates? What do you think? THanks!
@TheGorillaBiker4 жыл бұрын
The first thing I;d check is the clutch cable lubrication, get some gt85 and try lube it with that. Otherwise if you've never changed your springs your clutch plates could be sticking if they're old so I'd pop them out and inspect them, I have a video up on how to change the plates if you want to see how to inspect them. @@TheGorillaBiker Got bike with 11.500 miles on it. Put already 2000 miles this season. Clutch doesn't slip but also what is weird it's pulling at the end, not at the middle how suppose to be. Not sure that will keep this bike more than one season so probably wont do plates. But will try to lube it! Thanks!

How long did you run yours? Mine just popped on me after almost 70k mi.
@TheGorillaBiker3 жыл бұрын
The clutch cable? Ehhhhh I think it was 32000km was the first change. Maybe the climate here is harder on them that'd be the longest I've ever gotten out of one! :)

@@TheGorillaBiker I'm pretty good about keeping mine wet. I'm in WI, and ride in rain (not tsunami's) and have been forced to ride in snow. Record is -8 f for just over an hour each way. This bike is a TANK! Love this thing, can't kill it.
@TheGorillaBiker3 жыл бұрын
@@hunterman600cc yeah me too, I suppose there's a lot different too, you have more straight roads over in the US so less gear changes might affect it etc ...plus I change things when they're like 60-70% used up cus I'm way too particular about things like that 😂 -8!! Haha I'd stay in bed I hate cold :P I loved mine, still kinda regret not keeping it tbh!
