I can see this, If life is a game and you by every metric win the game. You may have an urge to play a little more. Maybe go to school (now that you can afford it) or pickup a part time position. It keeps your mind fresh, brings you the fuller perspective, engages you emotionally and physically.

All those going on a vacation, beware of Camping and the many perils you will find there! 😱 Things like having to carry your own stuff, setting up a tent, weather, and bugs. Many have tried to camp in the past, but few ever return!

Yeah I was like her till I moved out. It was a shock because everything was always so accessible and ex: like buying groceries was confusing because a person would would be like this is a deal on so and so and I would never look at prices before. It was also strange learning how to budget as well. I am very grateful I moved out and forced to pay my way through school to teach me this experience I see why people cant just go whenever on vacations or have to live paycheck to paycheck.

You can absolutely pitch your tent pretty much anywhere up here in Scotland without paying. It's slightly different down in England, but that family's probably mostly paying for shared facilities (reception, power, wifi, toilets etc) anyway.

Yes, there are many tropical destinations that have high poverty rates. But in relation to this video. You think that a rich kid who has been to Sri lanka and seen the poverty would actually want to understand what its like to live in the real world with very little money. However, she has has a melt down as this skint holiday is way below her standard of living, and cant handle it.

When you go camping at a national park it's generally like 20 bucks or something per vehicle per day. Apparently there's a pass for all the national parks in the US for $80/month.

I remember the time I’ve spent two nights camping near active volcano (we went there to climb the volcano). During my first night I couldn't sleep because it was really windy outside and the wind knocked on the tent, but I wasn’t sure if it is the wind or it is a bear near my tent (there are a lot of brown bears in that area). It was dark and I was alone. I didn’t cry, but I was really scared (it was my first time camping, and these noises made me assume the worst). I don't think I'm too spoiled, but I don't want to go camping anymore

Honestly, that was a nice campsite. The wheelbarrows were a nice touch - we always have to lug our stuff to our spot when we camp. The food the mom brought looked good too - but I noticed they didn’t have s’mores. Are s’mores just an American thing?
