As others have stated. This man could take time off and do what he truly loved playing softball. But then come back as a surprise in some territory whether it be a mainstream company or the indy's. And make a HUGE impact. That's the kind of drawing power he had. He's no longer with us and it's a damn shame. He kicked out to cancer i lost my mom to pancreatic cancer 2yrs ago. So it's a tough battle in whatever form it takes. I want to thank him for all the great memories he left me with. After watching and being a part of this business for the past 35yrs. I followed his career since his debut as Lord Humongous back in CWA in '84. And i knew then he was going to be something very special. RIP Sid and hopefully your reunited with two of your close friends in Leon "Vader" White and Scott Bam Bam Bigelow.

I think it was just Sid himself who held himself back from being at least one of the biggest to ever do it. Wrestling wasn’t his main passion, which honestly makes it that much more awesome that he was so great at it. And it’s really cool that as mean as he was in character to other wrestlers, he never trash talked the fans as far as I can remember. Always interacted with the crowd. He was a heel only in the ring. Miss him greatly.

To me, being passionate about your fans is even more important to me than being passionate about the business. It’s really cool to me that he always showed appreciation to the fans even as a heel. Great guy.
@jumbothompson Жыл бұрын
How do the fans know if he wasn't passionate about the business? To me he always came across as a legit big man. It's the other wrestlers that are pissed at him because he wasn't a typical wrestling lifer. He wanted to get paid and said what he felt and that pissed people off.

Sid didn't get the push he deserved, but a lot of people don't know that he was seriously injured during important parts of his push. He broke his ribs and punctured a lung against the Steiner Brothers, broke his leg in half on another account, and I believe he he tore his bicep against Jake "the snake" Roberts; which caused him to miss Summerslam. Great wrestler with bad luck.

Actually that was the 1991 Survivor Series that canceled Sid s attempt to be in an elimination Survivor Series Match then Macho Man Randy Savage gets re instated then he has to miss out too because Jake Roberts puts his snake to bite Randy s arm. I was a big Sid fan. Him Mick Foley and Kane the WWE didn’t use him properly in SIDS first run there. The story goes that the people were cheering louder for him than Hogan when they wrestled each other. Sid said Hogan was furious and went off on Vince and blamed him because of that. We all know Hogan didn’t like any competition, especially from guys bigger than him. We all also know Hogan tried to bury anyone like that.
