When my sister and I moved into a bigger house and didn’t have to share anymore we would knock on each others wall and sneak in together 😂 I have 4 sons and they all sleep with us or each other. We have a 4 br house which is huge and they all still climb in with us or one another. We have one room with a king bed, one with a queen, one room with one single bed and one with three single beds and we mainly only use the two rooms with bigger beds :-)

Right but what do you do with three kids and two rooms? You can’t give one kid a room to himself, it’s not fair to the other kids. Instead, they made it an activity room. That’s a valid choice to maintain fairness.

yeah but will those kids have all the privileges of access that they get from being centrally located in NYC. people know the sacrifice, but what you lack in space you get in resources, enrichment, ease of access, lots of choices and variety, and so much more. &with so many kids, they might actually be saving money and time, imagine dropping off all those kids to schools, clubs, activities, doctors appointments, & whatever else. everything is close by, &time = money. it takes me 10-20 minutes to get to anywhere i NEED TO go, and i don’t have to pay for gas to do it.

Yes. I'm like dying to know! I'm in a 3 bed/2 bath rental in Arkansas on 20 acres of farmland. We can do whatever we like with the acres.. I think we're meant to farm it lol but we don't. I use about .75 of an acre for just a basic garden. I grow berries too. Strawberries, blackberries and raise animals. We have well water which is free obviously so no water bill and we are in the process of installing solar so we will be paying about $12/month for electric. We use wifi which runs us about 25/30 but we don't use cable or satellite. We just stream stuff. We have a big fully functional wood working building on the property with a separate apartment in it, it's totally wired but we keep everything turned off because we don't really use it and it would just raise our bill. Anyway, we pay $350.00/month. We are very lucky we came across this. It was an older couple that just couldn't maintain the property anymore and needed to live closer to their children but they didn't want to sell. They said it's not a good market to sell but honestly I think they just don't want to part with it. It is beautiful here. If I had more of a green thumb and utilized our animals for sustenance instead of treating them as pets we could very easily "live off" this beautiful land and eliminate our grocery bill but I prefer my animals alive and I suck at growing things lol. We did look at buying a house up until 10 years ago. Ten years ago I gave birth to our beautiful daughter and being able to let my kid go run around outside and not worry about her getting snatched, shot, lost or otherwise damaged is absolutely priceless. Watching her run among the horses as a beautiful orange and purple sunset surround us is priceless. ❤ If heaven exists this has got to be it. It's so quiet all you hear is the occasional crickets or animal sounds. When I visit friends or family in the city, it's so loud at night! Lol. People out running around, vehicles, EMS vehicles, sometimes gunshots or fireworks depending on the time and place. It's a totally different experience. The only trade off is we are Miles and miles from anything. No stores, doctors, gas stations-nothing. The closest thing we have is a neighbor about 20 Miles away and a dollar general about 25. They JUST opened the dollar general and I'm so excited! I'm there atleast 2-3 times a week! The next closest thing is a walmart- about an hour away.

Taught me to - share - respect each other's things - team work (trying to keep the room clean 😂) - build our relationships (after light outs chats when we thought our carers had "no idea") And the list goes on... Then when I grew up and moved away to work..I lived alone in a 2 bedroom apartment..I missed the company ..like ALL of it!

Lucky you, it is great being thankful for what you've got, BUT people need more living space, this is coming from a girl who grew up sleeping in the kitchen (( especially in a big city, where you have no space even outside. It's great to have a big family, but it comes with responsibility, where you got to think about kids mindset ahead, and make decisions that will benefit your children, and not try to cover that sad situation with smiles and hearts. PS I sold my apartment in the big city and moved to a village, just so my girl has enough space. ( Education is on a great level here though)
@TheAlex7863
@TheAlex7863 Жыл бұрын
@@paulineyi8462well, I think these kids have a different situation to you. Although they’re sharing rooms, they are well provided for - spacious beds, clean living area, ample storage, and the privacy of 4 walls. They are not sleeping in a kitchen. I’m sorry that that was your childhood but these kids seem to have it really good. And I can wholeheartedly agree with the other comment. I shared a room with my sister my whole childhood and until I started university (she was 21 at the time). We are so close because of it. We have mutual respect for each other’s things, are emotionally and spatially aware, and generally far more generous than most other people. We probably grumbled a few times as preteens but, very soon after, we came to understand the value of it. I miss her constantly now that I have my own apartment in a different state. The fact that everyone disagrees with this is such a clear reflection of the society that we live in today. We’re raising a generation of self-centred, spoiled individuals.

SHE lives IN A NYC BROWNSTONE, WHICH MEANS SHE IS LIVING IN a 2M and up brownstone, they have 4 floors and a basement, totaling 5 floors. Each floor will have 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. @@tishawestbrook7672 lol what do you get from my name? That I believe being a parent is the most important task someone will ever have in a lifetime and setting that can help women be good parents and ENJOY being a mom is having a good birth experience. That many women suffer abuse, intimidation, being ignored, and lack of information therefore causing them to have a traumatic birth and traumatic births increase risks of post party depression and make it harder for many women to bond with their baby. And I want every woman to have a happy and healthy birth not just where the baby is alive but the woman has not endured needles physical and emotional trauma. That I believe the woman's body was designed to succeed be able to deliver and care for her baby without need of intervention. @Ann I have no idea how you were raised but, in our family it was always a comfort to me to have all of the extended family members but, it was especially important that I had a family sibling to run to when things were getting tough. For example I had an accident at 18 months and ended in the hospital. Because I was in the burn unit no one was allowed to come see me. I missed my very large family. I had no one to smile at me that I knew. Of course things in hospitals have changed. But now maybe you can understand that kids that have big families, are not always as miserable as some people think. I myself only had two but, also loss two. May God always bless you and your family. I am honored that I got a chance to read your opinion, thank you. ☺️
