Many thanks. Sometimes feels like I am walking up hill and in a blizzard with my age is dragging behind me and wonder if moving on is the right thing. I really enjoy acting, so this video appeared at the right time for me. Thank you sir.

Hi brad, I have learned important things about acting from your channel. How will I know if becoming an actor is for me? The people that surrounds me (like my family) wants me to be something else. I haven't told them yet but I feel the disappointment they can have towards me. But my mind and heart is telling me that becoming an actor is who I really want to be. What if I end up really bad. I am doing all I can in practicing my craft. I watch and study wonderful performances. I can already see my regret years from now by ending up in a different job. Your channel has recently be very supportive. Thanks by the way :)

Thank you for your kind words and support to the channel! You sound very passionate about acting, and the only way to know if it's something you love, or something you will be good at, is if you take a chance and try it! Regret is a terrible feeling, and if you're already thinking about it for your future, than why waist anymore time. There are often two reasons people don't follow their dreams : fear go failure, and fear of success - thinking they won't able to handle it when they get there. Just take it one step at a time, and try out some acting lessons. That way you will know if its something you enjoy. Don't worry about people who don't understand, you cannot live to please everyone. If you would like we can set you up with your first acting lesson with Brad Heller via Skype webcam, private lesson, or you can audit a class for free at our North Hollywood location. What do you think?

Hi Brad. You have learnt me that thing about muscle memory and I really appreciate it. But I have a problem. I'm a beginner and I act only in adverts, and they never say me what am I gonna do in the scene, so I have to kind of improvise. Could you please give me a tip how to deal with this? Should I text them what am I gonna do and then analyse it at home? Thank you for your great job, and sorry for my bad English :)

+Tomáš Rutina , Thank you for your kind words and support to the channel! I'm trying to understand... it sounds like you get your scene/material last minute, which is very similar to a cold read. You always want to analyze it first. It would be great to get you set up with some lessons, and help you learn the approach that Brad teaches. It would be extremely helpful for you. He offers online acting classes via Skype webcam, and teaches many of his students around the world this way. Would you like to set up a lesson? You can read more information on the website www.thehellerapproach.com

hello Brad. :) thank you for these videos. really helped getting me started. I have two questions tho. one about the objective, and one about the emotion. objective: so is there ALWAYS an objective in a scene? because i sometimes find it Hard to find the objective in specific scenes. emotion: so, when doing the breathing emotion, do you have to Think about something in your head? or do you just breathe and say the emotion? i really have a passion for acting. :) Hope you see this.
@thehellerapproach8 жыл бұрын
Hi there, thank you for your support to the channel! Those are great questions. Yes, there is always an objective in a scene, always. It's what gives the character something to fight for. The objective is what the character THINKS, and the emotion is what the character FEELS. So you are not to be thinking the emotion but rather feeling it. With the breathing exercise you are to inhale, and exhale quickly, then say your emotion (anxiety, joy, suspicions, guilt, etc) outloud. It would be great to set you with some acting lessons. That way Brad Heller can work on these specifics things with you, and train you in depth. Are you currently taking any acting lessons? For more information regarding the school, cost, or classes please check out our website www.thehellerapproach.com We look forward to hearing from you and furthering your acting career. Cheers!
