I saw this car at the Bangkok International Motorshow yesterday.. Sat in it and looked at the cabin fittings. This car is cool! Cabin feels solid, no creaks. The doors are not a gimmick but give a sense of occasion. I like this car. Here it is priced at the the same level as a Model 3 Performance. Super surprised by this car. Not so sure about that tail lights though. I personally would love this AND a Model 3 Performance in my driveway for less than a BMW M2. And enough spare change to buy a FORD Ranger Double Cab Raptor. Value for money..

I saw this car at a car show in Malaysia 2 weeks ago. The seat height is fine for me, but it might be an issue for anyone over 6 feet tall. The interior materials feel solid. The scissor door closes very gently when near the frame. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the chance to test drive it, but regarding the brake system and body control, many reviews claim it’s good enough for daily comfort driving. It’s tuned by experts for comfort instead of having a hard racing suspension. I placed an order today

Interesting car, will suit those looking for quiet open top motoring rather than outright driving excitement. Other reviewers have pointed out it’s more a GT car than a sports car; I’m surprised you didn’t give a view on this Tiff having sat next to you on a sideways lap around Thruxton. I get it’s a promotional piece not a review but think you can explain who the car is for without having to be damning.

Nothing wrong with appreciating a good car, which the Cyberster certainly is. Democratising the convertible grand tourer. Good on you MG. But change those arrow lights. They aren’t necessary.
@thezanzibarbarian5729Ай бұрын
Stick on a badge from a maker in Zuffenhausen, and people would be raving about this Cyberster. Of course, you'd have to replace the name with some 3 numeric numbering to keep up with the Zuffenhausen tradition.

What a sell out!
@Beorn.Ай бұрын
Oh dear, not a proper sports car and to make matters worse is the nasty ( in my opinion ) plastic upholstery. I think I will be staying with my Mazda MX5 with Nappa Leather upholstery not a by product of the petrochemical industry. Reasonable price? ?? It's £60k,! Almost double the price I paid for my MX5 Homura 2ltr brand new last year....and my MX5 will be around in 20-30 years time.
@ianwingfield4814Ай бұрын
And after 30yrs you will have spent close to £150,000 on petrol, never mind all the other bits and pieces, including the odd new engine or two. The MG will also still be around of course, a new battery perhaps, but a mere fraction of the overall cost of your POS!
@Beorn.Ай бұрын
@ianwingfield4814 as you couldn't possibly know my annual mileage I would like to know how you arrived at that statement . With the terrible depreciation on battery cars who would be foolish enough to spend more money on a replacement battery than the car is worth? Mazda engines on the other hand are very good and rarely need a replacement.
@K22MDLАй бұрын
@@Beorn. I think you'll find he is "winging" it...... The Cyberstar will be worth bugger all long before that time whereas your MX-5 will be worth a tidy few. Had a Sport Recaro in 2016-2022 and loved it. Just replaced it with a new BMW Z4 M40i Handshalter - 6-speed manual. Like yours but bigger!!

I'd have this over a MX5 all day long.
@K22MDLАй бұрын
@@davewheeler7679 One is a proper sports car, lightweight, agile, fast & accurate steering with real feedback, excellent manual gearbox, compact & low cost, the Cyberstar is fat, heavy, ponderous in agility, poor uncommunicative steering and will leave you high and dry in about 230 miles if you can't find a charger that works. They are both good in their own right - the MX-5 has it's faults but you can't really compare the two.

1. Never mentioned the fact that he is sitting too high as the top of his head is above the header rail. 2. Didn't mention that the two outer screens are obscured by the steering wheel and your hands. 3. Didn't mention the cheap plastics elsewhere in the build. 4. Didn't mention the lack of feel from the steering. 5. Didn't mention the lack of body control on anything but glass roads. Overall, probably the worst review Tiff has ever presented. Sniffs of paid to promote the car for a car group and nothing else, which is a great pity. Come on chap. You're better than this. Much better.

@@adrianbennett3761 I agree, but even then this was well below par for Tiff. Places a bad light on his integrity as a trusted reviewer.

@ it might sell quite well as it looks quite good value and there isn’t much competition. The twin motor model is really fast.
@K22MDLАй бұрын
@@adrianbennett3761 I think it will, in small numbers. But the packaging is wrong and the mad placement of the two outer screen is a real oversight. If the upcoming tarrif charges on MG in particular actually happen, then now is the time to buy one however as a 34% increase in import charges making the twin motor £79GBP isn't too favouranle.
@adrianbennett3761Ай бұрын
@@K22MDL it will definitely be a hard sell at almost £80k. The 2025 Boxster is meant to be all electric and will be more desirable. MG have done well selling their lower models. I see loads of them.

Read my words above on this. Real shame. Like he has sold himself out. Just hope he reads this and they delete the entire video. I've still got a copy of Tiff reviewing a TVR Giffith 500. I had to watch a couple of times to be sure . Those doors open way above Tiffs head, could be expensive in a multistorey or your own garage.
