That is exactly why cash is being targeted now, and their plan of implementing electronic currency in our banking system in order to replace cash completely, is necessary for their success. If our western societies are forced to become completely cashless, then we can't use our cash to do things like support local farmers and grocers, mom & pop stores, etc. that still take cash and don't track your purchases. Once our banking system is completely cashless, and their plan of connecting a not only national ID, but an international ID, with our medical and insurance records, etc. our entire daily functioning lives will be under their control. They will be able to not only see what we spend our money on, but control it. They will be able to cut off our utilities, manipulate what we spend our grocery money on, control if, when and how we can travel, or even own our own transportation, housing and health care choices.

The Antitrust law protects the right to compete, preventing one company to control the market. If we eliminate the competition, we will have no choices, no consumer's power. When competition exist we as consumers benefit, because we get lower prices and better customer's service quality. That why the Antitrust law is so important for consumers.

I think the author has a good handle on the problem but just shopping local won't solve anything if they are using net zero to destroy small and midsize farmers and control what we can purchase and where through cbdc and such. We must elect people who represent us and have more sane less extreme environmental agendas. I care about the environment and taking reasonable care of it but these policies are getting very extreme and destructive and there are good reasons to suspect the issue is hyped and manipulated in service to certain agendas. There is no real 'science' either that proves if we give up many of our civil liberties, pay massive more tax, give up cars, eat bugs, and live in pods this will make a big difference in weather or climate. So far many of the predictions just way off.

Good interview, thanks for the intro. We don't live under a friendly competitive capitalism in which innovation and hard work are aptly rewarded. That would be nice. We live under *monopolism.* With centralization of wealth comes centralization of power; that's a simple thing that people need to understand. The energy examples that Bruner is highlighting are important to understand. In another example- in its rise to power, for instance, Amazon knocked off not only the competition one would expect but deliberately trashed the small publishing industry. This is really bad for having a democratically informed society. Amazon is so big that it can take losses for YEARS in an effort to put small companies out of business, and that's exactly what it is. This is antithetical to healthy competition, if your goal is to have the best product (whether you care about how workers are treated meanwhile or not- and you should care about workers, but even if you don't it's still bad). I agree with him that "voting with your dollar" is really important, and everyone should do that. Boycott or minimize supporting monopolies! Take a stand. But we do also need to enforce anti-trust legislation and break up some of these thuggish cabals. And they shouldn't be able to avoid paying taxes by bribing local politicians- it's absolutely absurd. They should be paying the same tax rate as everyone else. Don't stop at GO, don't collect $200- just end the corporate corruption scam that is our current system of monopoly capitalism.

I grew up in LA in the 50s. There was a transit system of electric streetcars.
