A man who can cook for himself can take care of himself! My 'Ma' was the oldest of 5 farmers daughters. So, when my Dad started blessing her with 3 sons in 1958, guess who learned Home Economics; housekeeping, managing the checkbook, cooking, etc? I'm not beholden to anyone else to take good care of myself...🇺🇸 😎👍☕

KZbin isnt against religion or God. It's against when people use the platform to use religion to push lies or hate against others. This lady never does that. She does exactly what the Bible instructs us to do and that is just to be a witness through how we live each day.... but not to boast, judge, and exploit our faith to then become a stumbling block to others. That's how you actually push people away from God. Lately I've felt despair with regard to how my fellow Christians seem to forget all we've been taught about being suspicious of those falsely using religion for their own use... even to the point of idolatry... figuratively and physically with an actual golden 8dol. SMH.... but finding this lady just living and sharing her faith through her life helps me to hopeful that some remember our basic teachings.💖

We spent the night, and she made potato soup. I have wanted to know how to cook it, and when I saw your video, it just made my day! I no longer can cook due to cancer, and my husband does it. Bless you! My late adoptive mother was older than most my friends mothers. She was was a farm girl that grew up during the Great Depression in SC... my dad was from West Virginia. I'm so enjoying watching your videos because so far (I'm playing catch up) everything has been something I grew up eating. Potato soup (with or without ham or other meat... sometimes hamburger) is one that is very dear to our family. Not only was it good and filling.... but especially meatless with pepper was always something we were given when sick.... and it worked like a miracle many times. I used it with my kids too.... Now that they are adults when they get sick they call me wishing for potato soup.... and call for the recipe (which of course is only in my head) when their kids are sick. We all love it. My only difference is we always add just a little cornstarch slurry as you mentioned. It makes it very silky... AND I also think it is part of what helps it coat the tummy when sick. I don't add any milk or sour cream then as it can be harder on the tummy and will also thicken mucus if you have a cold or flu.💖💖💖

This looks delicious! I’m going to try and make it soon. I love your videos you explain everything so well. Even a 70 year old woman can learn new tricks. We all need to let our light shine! Hope the right person gets the oven! God bless you!

I need an oven. You may not do this anymore but my sister and I have lived alone with each other for 30 years and haven't been able to afford a stove for about 5 years. Thank you for witnessing for the lord because that is part of the reason I watch you on my phone. Bless you and yours.
