Bloodraven’s connection to the weirwood network and powers as a greenseer likely started following a near death experience. Like Bran and Jojen possibly Patchface. It seems these experiences helps open the third eye. So maybe when he lost his eye fighting in the rebellion.

Maybe Bloodraven is more of an Obi-wan Kenobi type, but more of an "ends justify the means" version, where he doesn't recognize or doesn't care, of the consequences of training someone like Euron Greyjoy and created his own Darth Vader in a way.

I think it would be too much if, in the end, Bloodraven was responsible for the New Long Night via Euron. Like "he he, had he done nothing, all would have been great, the Others would never have been able to invade in the first place". That would not be a satisfying story. I´m sure PoorQuentyn is right about the Crow´s Eye sounding the Horn of Winter from the Hightower, bringing down the Wall. But I think Bloodraven would also have been responsible for Benjen finding the Horn before the Others and the Wildlings. That would bring some balance to his character: achieving great things for the living, while also causing destruction by trying too hard.

Netherspark I think it’s before even that. To the age of legends. Before the doom of valyeria was the doom of ASSHAI where we KNOW there were dragon lords. The survivors built the age of dawn, and migrated after dawns collapse to Westeros. They built highgarden’s first floor and the wall castles (forged black stone SIMILAR to valyerian construction but not as ‘elaborate ‘ This goes FARTHER to the age of legends and the breaking of the world. The spiral is the pattern (the phi symbol- a circle with a line symbolizing life/death, female/male, WHITE/BLACK) . It was BROKEN/shattered by the entrance of the dark one, the true power (not to be confused with the ONE power). The ravens are the symbol for this dark magic, and their ‘channelers’ eventualky can become blind (aemon) and their eyes turn black. Daenarys is the reborn dragon, she is ancient (asshai) raised by old ones (bravossi). It’s all in the age of legends in the wheels of time books. The purpose of this dark one (I’m guessing the night king is his ‘embodiment’ in our realm) is to ‘remake creation in his own image’, and the purpose of the dragon is to restore creation to its balanced state once again, the dark/light, life/death two powers working as one ‘river’, one power, to turn the wheel of time 🤣

I think Martin made a big deal about Aemon taking the black overBlood Raven because he’s syncing this world to our real world view of pure royalty/ aristocracy (albeit historically ) to Aemon’s true Targaryen heritage. Even if blood raven was legitimized.

Also, the children say "they killed him long ago." Since the Children live remarkably long lifespans, the term "long" to THEM would mean hundreds if not thousands of years. Not like 50. Which is when the Raven's tooth/coldhands would have been killed.

Regarding the first comment, I don't think a prayer indicates knowledge of the entire language. For example Arya and "valar morghulis". However, if Coldhands does know the Old Tongue, I agree that makes it super unlikely he's a Raven's Tooth. Regarding the length of time: I don't agree with this argument because they are speaking to Bran, who is a child, they know that "long ago" has a different implication to someone his age, and would speak accordingly. If the Children were speaking to each other (say Bran overheard them) and they said "long ago" I would agree for sure. But as written, it is at best unclear.

I may be the minority watching / listening to this but the readings with the woman's voice is far too cringy and hard to pay attention. I'm not sure if its audio on my part but there's crackling and popping every other word and the tone difference going back and forth is just too hard to listen to. I found myself skipping the readings and I personally don't think you have to quote from the book every time you try to emphases something or make a statement.
