Man I love you guys. Your level-headed commentary and analysis is much-needed these days. I particularly appreciated your assessment of how Euron might be actually using the blood of priests -- not because the blood would literally have magical power, but because it will *seem* that way in the eyes of others. It makes absolute perfect sense, and sounds like something GRRM would totally do.

Really great points on Euron, like Melisandre, using the trappings of religion and disguised science to create the illusion of godliness. Also a great analysis of the two horns - convincing by both meta and in-story standards. OH MY GOD - the three horn blasts!

My theory is Euron isnt going to Oldtown to attack, but to join forces with Leyton Hightower, who has been practicing sorcery in his tower for years. He may even be Euron's ringleader.

Wow I never thought about this, but euron is attacking old town to sack the citadel to get the dragon/other magic books, he needs a archmaester key, so if he hired now "pate" he can take everything he wants!

I see what u mean I almost forgot the epilogue where the archmaester is stolen. This would be a great move for the crows eye although there is such a great spread of important information that it almost seems like George RR Martin is baiting his readers in to thinking this. This key could have easily been taken by many parties in the story in order to gain an intellectual advantage over their adversaries.

Awesome episode guys. Love the idea of Euron blowing the horn 3 times from the top of the Hightower, which has been intentionally told to us that you can see the wall from there. But I fear that means Sam will be one of the characters we care about who is subjected to Euron's wrath. Say it ain't so George... ..he's going to lose his fat pink mast! :-p

Bloodraven isn't the Three Eyed Crow, Bran confirms this when he asks Bloodraven upon meeting him if he was indeed The Three Eyed crow.. Bloodraven seemed confused by the question and he went on to reference his Night's watch days, clearly not even being aware of Three Eyed Crow. He referenced his Nights Watch days assuming that's what Bran meant. to his Night's Watch days. Bloodraven appeared as a Weirwood when visiting Bran in his dream. We don't know who the Three Eyed Crow is although it may be the Crow's Eye himself. This would fit with Euron being a former apprentice of Bloodraven and perhaps interfering with Bloodraven's plans by sowing confusion in Bran's head.

Excellent as always. Could Bloodraven or whomever spoke to Euron in his dreams have suggested his travels to the East (wherever that may have taken him)? If your idea of him being an earlier choice before Bran, directing someone with ample prowess at sea to retrieve knowledge and/or power from the East to address the coming Winter would make sense. Keep up the amazing analysis (oh and snag LML for a Knights of the Order of the Green Hand video if you please :-D )!

I've become really pessimistic towards the idea that George can wrap up all of the current plotlines in 2 more books, unless they were at max page limit (1500 pages I think). I'd love 2 more 1500 page long books to read, but I just don't think it's feasible for him. He COULD do it, but he has said before that he kind of just writes, and sometimes the writing gets away from him.

Hi guys, loving the video! You always put so much into these and your enthusiasm gets us even more excited about the series if that's possible LOL. Question though, I thought I read that Martin stated when asked about the FM fee that it was a negotiation and pricing depended on prominence of the victim, how difficult to get to them, danger to the assassin and guild etc. When I thought about it that actually makes more sense than a percentage otherwise a person who only had two gold could give them one and have Cercei killed. (If only it were that easy, lol) but maybe I dreamed that. Anyway, love your content in this channel. Cheers!

I think the Crow told Euron he couldn’t fly or that Euron didn’t because he was afraid, and it was the starting injury to his ego that sparked his ambitions. He wants to prove his worth to it, and probably kill it like all the other Gods beside himself(in his own view). Remember the three eyed crow is the old god(s) of the weirwood net that inhabit the last greenseer. That is what he means by be a worthy host.

Euron is the Corsair King. No one literally calls him "Euron Greyjoy", but it is HEAVILY implied that they are the same person - his claims of a dreaded reputation do have weight to them.

Definitely makes me think Euron is some kind of failed candidate to be three-eyed raven, the way Count Fenring is a failed Kwizats Haderach. It could also foreshadow a showdown between Bran and Euron. Bran is told he will fly - I still hold out hope that that means he'll warg a dragon at some point. And as Euron has the dragon binding horn, that showdown could take the form of a tug-of-war over a dragon.

Also, in regards to Euron, I think he has some advanced greenseer powers but they're unformed and uncontrollable. The WoW chapter leads me to believe that he can actually hear people praying - most likely to the Weirwoods - but he may not grasp what's really going on there so has come to think of himself as a god on Earth. I think at times the sounds of the prayers disorient him, and so he has become fixated on silence. Pretty much like that bit in Bruce Almighty.

it's implied that Geoffrey was the one who ordered the murder of Robert's bastards, which puts him higher up on the kin slaying leaderboard. Technically they weren't kin but it's fuzzy on whether or not he knew that.

I haven't watched the whole video but Do you think the crow is the symbol of the Great Other? I think in Bran's visions the Wierwood is Bloodraven but the crow is the "person" working for the Great Other. With that I think the Crow's Eye connected with the Great Other when he was out to sea.

Hey, good question! No nation controls them, they are ruled by an ever-changing group of Pirate lords/kings. Recently, it appears that Aurane Waters (formerly Cersei's Master of Ships) has set himself up as the "Lord of the Waters" on the isle called Torturer's Deep. This is surely going to come up again in TWOW.

In the books it also says that Eruon is the comely one out of all the brothers... he's the most handsome, cunning, and minuplative... and plus him going all the way around the world like Dany has had made him open his eyes to everything. Like where he says he's seen every God known to man and not one could stop him from killing the people that worship that God. He's insane. I really wanna know who he's talking about when he says "I need a heir worthy of him"... who the hell is "him"? I'm 100% sure Eruorn is under control from someone and in turn for him doing that ones bidding he's granted magical powers and loot. Like his armor and I'm sure he's got some valryian steel weapons also since he's already got the armor.

When you say Euron will interact and cause suffering to characters we like, do you include Sam? For that to happen it would mean that Euron knows who Sam is and what he, the dragonglass and the horn are about. Apparently that seems unlikely: Euron coming to Oldtown and Sam being just one young acolite between many, so the author will surprise us for sure!...

The worst part is Eruon has a way with people to make them follow and love him... till they let their guard down and he makes them his slave.
