Korpasalo has similar statistics as Linus did When you folks going to get it? Goalie Bob the coach is The wizard of Oz behind our net. He knows what he's doing Answer this - when's the last time a USA born / solely USA trained goalie got a Stanley Cup? Nope, Tim Thomas was Born in the USA But played in Europe and came back an absolute beast Jonathan quick got international experience through Olympics and got his first Stanley Cup the same year he got his first Olympic medal Jeremy can't scorpion post to post Auston Matthews didn't show up for playoffs You need to take a closer look at what coach goalie Bob does for a living Hand picking teams rosters and locations for his goalies Jeremy doesn't beat big boy teams in their houses out west except for perhaps Edmonton You can say he beat Vegas but that was in boston, Mark Stone nor Jack eichel made that trip I have no idea what you're looking at with Jeremy Swayman. He's a legend in his own mind. Definitely has not proven himself to be a 1A. Here's the answer to that trivia question -the last USA born, trained goalie to get a Stanley Cup was in 1994. One thing I will say about leaks: there are some teams that still keep a tight ship. Basically, if I hear about a rumor in regards to the Blues, I can pretty much guarantee nothing is going to come of it. Even in the history of the team, there are a number of things that have happened and people in the local hockey community know about it, but you will never find anything online from a reputable source. I think quite a bit of it is that the local media mostly toes the company line. I can think of a specific story about the Blues which leaked from an out of town reporter a few years ago, and it was one of those things that I’d been sworn to secrecy about WAY before I saw it online. And the local people who said it was made up 100% knew it was true.

50% of the seats in a small stadium are obstructed view. That was the Coyotes first mistake. Of course the Yotes were at least smart enough to relocate to a large arena where half the audience couldn't see. Utah is repeating history with 5,000 less seats that can see the ice. Good Luck.
@mr_maestro
@mr_maestro Ай бұрын
@@Uuusssaaas sorry didn’t mean to imply this is perfect. It’s not. There are real challenges, the arena being one. I happen to think that all parties involved are up to the task, though. And that is more the point I’m trying to make. Challenges yes, ability to meet them also yes. It could fail and I’d be wrong. But the fan support, ownership competency and government approvals has me feeling confident.

I gotta say I agree 100% with your take on the swayman situation. While Ive said I'd be a little weary giving him ALL remaining cap space I agree he deserves more than 6.2mil. if those numbers are too far I'd ideally like to see him signed at 7mil for 5 or 6 years. He's good but we haven't seen him play 55-60+ games yet. It reminds me of oettinger. Has a bang up playoffs and everyone thinks he's the guy but Dallas didn't overpay because they hadn't seen him as a true number 1. Boston would be wise to do the same

About Ullmark, he was thrown under the bus after one admittedly costly mistake vs Florida in the 2023 playoffs. Gave Swayman a bit more job security than was intended, and now someone will pay. If the Sens 'miraculously' make the playoffs, and Ullmark most likely leads the charge, the B's organization have ony themselves to blame. Also, when I see how many players’s careers were ruined by the contracts they signed and left buried in AHL… (yes, I know they got their money, but money is not the main motivation why they play hockey) Also, it feels players would be better awarded for their current work. Flyers fan here. Death threats of any kind are and always will be 100% wrong. Gauthier wanted to leave Philly, and that’s his business. However, I don’t feel sorry for him in the slightest. He has to live with his decisions. I wish him all the best in his career, and I hope he succeeds. I do. But all the hate that he’s gotten and will continue to get is his fault and is deserved.

I'd like to see Swayman as a career Bruin, but if he signs a 4 yr deal and then leaves, that just means Sweeney has 4 years to Draft/Trade For and Develop the next goalie. We saw Askarov move to SJ because he wasn't happy with his role in Nashville, and I see no reason why Boston can't be the recipient of a goalie down the line. Players now have the most power/freedom they've ever had in the NHL and it's on the GM to sweat a bit to put a team together. I wish Hockey was just a sport, but at the NHL level it's also a business/career for players and executives.

I’d say I’d agree that no players, age or experience should get death threats, but to not have a dislike for a player your favourite team drafts and they don’t want to play for that team, sure you might be able to live and let live, but some fans brains don’t operate that way. And that’s okay as well. For you to suggest nobody should be mad at the player in such a scenario is unrealistic and unaccecting of others reality and their passion of fandom.

I never said not to be mad, just that sending them threats is insane. Also sending messages to a player to tell him he's an asshole makes no sense. It's not going to make him change his mind and, if anything, shows him he made the right call.

@@TheHockeyGuy all valid points that I unequivocally agree with. I do says it’s a lose lose for Jets fans. Cause even if they go back to true Jets fans roots and come up with a clever degrading chant for McGroarty when he comes to town, everyone else will just say “oh guy lives rent free in your head.” I mean fans of the team will keep getting frustrated when things of this nature keep happening.

I also don’t think the fans got the full truth of the situation from Rutger’s camp and from the player himself. Winnipeggers and Jets fans are generally not stupid to the fact that they understand the perception of living in Winnipeg. Instead of death threats and the like I wish Jets fans could reconcile that Rutger is just a nepotismic emotionally non-matured individual and his agent is probably just a grown up version of that. He should be leery of those he surrounds himself with as not to become the exact same person he already is today.

Swayman never started, like, 50 games in a season. His numbers so far are very good, but I don't see why Bruins should give him 10M. Even 8M. The perfect deal is like 4M for 2 years.

I hate to say I would never pay a goalie $10 million a year but 6.2 for starting is indeed too low... until you remember arbitration awarded him $3.8 for the year on similar numbers. He said he never wants to go through arbitration again so the bruins have to wager something: more money ($6.5+) or more term (6 years+). Also i really despise all those new teams names. So bland so forgettable. When Edmonton renamed from the Eskimos they went with a recognized alliteration. So boring. So obvious. Think big PWHL. Think River Queens. The Blue Tide. Burning Stars. The Eclipse. Halfmoon Gang. I dont care. Killer Eiderdowns. Golden Guineas. Blue Footed Boobies (an actual bird). Be wild be fun. Nows your chance to shake it up. And bring better crowd chants. "Lets go *insert city here*" is tired. Great video and channel naturally. Feel better.

philadelphia fans aren’t as bad as everyone makes them out to be. philly does something it’s highlighted as the worst fans in the league just for reputation purposes. say, st. louis fans or florida fans or calgary fans did something to put a bad name on them…it gets overlooked like it’s a one off. it’s irritating to watch these tropes continue when the club is struggling to keep people based on these tropes

I don't have to like what Cutter said or did but I'd be a hypocrite as a Flyers' fan if I didn't name drop Eric Lindros. Yes, different circumstances but I'm not gonna be a bitter fan because a silly kid half my age doesn't know what he wants.

No Swayman is not worth the money he's asking for, he's worth 6.5M per year no more until he turns into a brick wall. Trade him and get a young prospect and a high draft choice.
