Comfort and country food. Fills the belly and is wholesome. Your children are not fat. They get what they need to develop and be strong. That is what we, as a country, have forgotten. God bless your family.

Ben, I forgot to tell you one more thing. Congratulations for selling out of all your classes. You must be doing something right in this case. Ben, when you can sell out all your classes for the four times that you're having it at the end of the year, that's very good. Again, CONGRATULATIONS NOW BEN 😁😁❗❗❗

Hello, what a wonderful video! I watched a video from Modern Homestead Alaska, where they did a whole cow! Very informative. I watched this video and what i noticed was ALL the things that Meg made in one day. Canned chicken broth, made and decorated a cake and made dinner. I am sure there was breakfast and lunch in there somewhere. All the hard work all of you do and you are always smiling! And the gratitude you have for everything is truly wonderful. I know i say this a lot, but my parents and family lived on a farm when they first arrived in Canada. It truly was the best place for me as a child. My grand mother feeding 17 people with a coal and wood stove and all the preserving etc. I loved it! This is what i love about watching homesteading videos, even with all the hard work, it seems that everyone is happy! Thank you so much again for another amazing video and have a happy day!

If you ever get a freeze dryer, you might try freeze drying your stock. It frees up lots of jars, plus the stock can be used as seasoning on just about everything! I love to "salt" our veggies with the powdered broth.

I can never have too much chicken broth canned. I use it in mashed potatoes. When I make rice. When I make my gravy. Plus all different recipes. I work at a convenience store/deli. And my boss gave me 20 pounds of chicken legs he bought for the store. But the idea for them didn't pan out. So he gave them to me. I took them and put them in water and then took all the meat off the bones and made chicken pot pie filling and canned 16 pints. Then canned the broth. Got 5 qt. And 3 pints. Then when my boss goes to Costco. I have him pick me up the rotisserie chickens and I take all the meat off them. Can it. Then take the leftovers and carcuses and make chicken broth and can that. 4 chickens gave me 16 pints of meat. And 2 dinners and 2 lunches. And I put the carcuses in the freezer to make stock later. So for 20.00 I think I got a lot for that money. When I make my broths. I don't add any seasonings or veggies. I just want plain broth. That way it doesn't change my recipes that I use it in. And its super easy to make and can.

Just a thought: I have been very successfully freezing my stock in ziplock bags for years now. The stock slips easily out of the bag after a little warm water flows over it. And the bag can be cleaned & reused.

I have watched for years, and I am just curious about where you store all your canned goods. You do can a LOT and I love to see other ppl canned goods on their shelves. I also get ideas from others about different things to can and love seeing how beautiful it all looks on their shelves. I can certainly appreciate all the hard work that goes into canning, and it is so satisfying to see all your work .

🇦🇺When I lived in Adelaide, South Australia we had an almond tree in the back yard. After school I’d sit in the tree eating almonds. We had other fruit trees and our neighbours had different fruit trees, so all the kids sat in the trees eating whatever was ripe. Great memories.

The point of an experiment is to learn something. If the piglet tractor doesn't work, it doesn't mean that the experiment failed, just that you didn't get the result you hoped for.
