Not every day on the homestead is fun or exciting but in those days there are moments when a lot of knowledge can be passed along. No one ever sees the bad days, the overwhelming days, the "what next" or "what was I thinking" days..and my favorite "nothing is cooperating today"! So baby peeps, view of the countryside, clearing land while using protective gear, repurposing nesting boxes and cardboard, riding a cart down the hill and just explaining that even your to do list is fluid because of weather. Great video...this is vlogging! 👍✋😊❤🙏

Suggestion for nest boxes: get a fake turf rug & cut squares big enough to line the bottom of your nest box. If they get dirty, just hose them off & let dry. It gives a little cushion for laying & the hens like the "grass" feel

We all have those fires. We can only do 1 at a time unless they go together. I think your ladies will like their new boxes once they get used to them. Those woods look gnarly! I knew the pigs would do a good job but to have them root up the roots & tubers of the vines is quite a plus! Hope those natural springs run year round for them & you.

You guys have so much in front of you . You must wake up feeling overwhelmed . For what it is worth , I was given this , at the beginning of a Date Planner . Elephants are best eaten , 1 bite at a time . You have a lifetime to do what you what to do . Breathe , slow down . There is no time line you need to meet . The only person pushing you , is YOU !!! Slow down , take your time . You will get done what you NEED to get done , it will come , if you make sure you grow right . To much stress will do a plant harm . Make sure you take as good of care or yourselves as you do for your plants and livestock !!!
