Exactly. Great advice. I was 17 and kept running into the wrong companies when i wanted to be a commercial model and I'm now 30 and overcoming fears along with getting referred to companies to work for instead of just hearing something on the radio and going with it. Wow, hearing your story about being a singer really hit me, as well as the overall message. I am a singer, I have kept it to myself for years, opportunities would come here and there, I have been told so many times I have an amazing gift, but I would talk myself out of doing anything thanks to the fear - right now the only one enjoying my voice is the shower, it's so sad at this point I'm terrified someone will hear me I run the kitchen faucet to muffle my voice when I'm singing at home :( I'm also a writer, finally got up the nerve to join writing classes and my teachers are blown away by my work, another talent I've hidden for years. I am turning 36 this year, I let the 'distractions' take so many years already, I have two children (no regrets there!) but I had them with an abusive alc/addict, managed to leave him four years ago but got caught up in legal action to get free of his abuse, so for past ten years that drama has been my distraction. I also got diagnosed with MS at 25, another distraction haha. I've recently woken up and realised if I don't do something NOW, I will be an old woman in the blink of an eye, saying "oh yes I was talented, but I only sang in the shower" lmao how bloody sad would that be!!! Thank you SO much for your videos. I've been praying a lot this year for God to illuminate the way forward, I think finding your channel was yet another nudge (pretty much a shove at this point) from the Big Guy in the right direction lol bless you xoxo

It's kind of funny how I'm actually able to stay above the good or bad opinions of other with an attitude like - hey I'm good and I know it - but at the same time I'm never satisfied with myself. Actors always say they want to act, they just want to act!! Well you get an audition to act for 2 minutes and they spend the who 2 minutes wondering if the casting director likes it, are they good enough etc, etc. JUST act and have fun.

I'm 6years late haha but omg this video really came through! I've had this immense longing for becoming a singer since I was 9 years old but the fear of failing and not being good enough held me back. I am musical and I'm fairly good at playing instruments but when it comes to singing I don't feel I am that talented. I always wonder why I feel so drawn to singing but don't have the talent..But maybe it's just fear and if I would practice a lot I'd become good at it. I think it's time to take contrary action. I have got over a lot of fears.You just have to force your self to do something in the best way you can and relax and do not care what anybody else tbinks..I always had a fear of have somebody else in the bathroom the same time i was in there.So I just started doing it and the fear went away.😁

I need to work on my singing voice, but every time I start singing, there is always someone to tell me to shut up because they're trying to hear the TV, or read, or write a text message to someone. Mainly my mother. She just doesn't even care about my talents at all.

I have quite a few good songs ready to go for recording . but if you look at my videos they are only done on my phone . I have tons of rap music that is far better than anything ive seen out there and that goes for the best top performers and producers.
