I have made so many thousands of books over years.. and never had so much issue uploading books to KDP as i did for one recent Coloring book. The recent KW changes has the KDP bots really jumping on any duplicate words, even common repeat words.. Like Coloring Books and Activity Books in the Title and Sub Title.. and then using the word book or books in your back end.. it has become a bit frustrating and I do THINK that they are also trying to get people to literally GIVE UP.. who are here to make money and not here because they LOVE what they are doing. same thing happened to me. i updated keywords of my live book and it got blocked. after that amazon kdp is blocking my each new uploading book just within 1-2 hr of uploading.

This is very helpful. I just got my first book (that has been up for a month) BLOCKED, but the email doesn't say WHY this 350 page book is blocked. They really should say exactly what it is rather than referring back to the guidelines. Now, I have to wait for a response and hope they tell me exactly what it is. How incredibly frustrating!

That happend to me. After a month I wanted to change a books price, but I didn't eventually, because in the same time I've change my mind. So I did Not make any edit. After minutes, my book was blocked😢... And the answer was as always.. [.... disappointing customer experience]

This video is so "on-point" that I can't even express it. I hope it goes viral within the writing community because the blogs are encouraging writers to use AI to write whole entire books, with no editing, nothing and KDP has already fixed its algorithm to check and find these things on impact. It is a great tool for research but is causing complacency within the author's creativity! It imposes these stringent rules on everyone.

Don't feel bad. My books have been blocked to 5 adult coloring books. I think I know why the title and I put my email address inside. I think that's a no-no But the good thing is your account is not terminated.If you get terminated, it's over.

My books are also getting blocked. They don't clarify anything. They replied with, "After further review, we’ve decided to uphold our previous decision and will not be publishing your title(s) at this time because the content might result in a disappointing customer experience." I talked with them and they failed to identify the problem. But when they forward my issues with review team, they reply with the same thing over and over again.

Facing same issue with many of my books and it seems like the bot are sending the same copy paste emails again and again instead of mentioning or clarifying the issue with the book. I got email for removing spine text from my book cover and when I try to upload updated cover It shows that book is blocked, Then why the f..k send email to edit cover image?? amazon is literally in hands of bots now.

Sometimes making changes puts your book into review and they might have found something that they didn't notice the first time. Find out why they blocked it, the reason may not be the price change.

One of my fantasy romance titles was blocked because of a single slur, a slur in a fake language that has no real-world connection and wasn't all that severe... Guess I should switch to vampire/warewolf smut; those seem to skate by their arbitrary rules all the time. S'whatever. My first mistake was not using a female pen name for my romance work. Yes you can! You just need to declare it in KDP when you upload, but it's absolutely fine. Make sure you edit the images if the AI has produced anything that doesn't look right.

That's because that is not a good title for a book. And you have to fill in your 7 keyword slots.

It has happened since August 6th, 2024, and I emailed them about it - that I did not do what they said I did, which led to the termination. They said sorry and needed more time to review the account. And since that time til now, nothing has been done to reinstate the account. And if I email them, they'll still tell me the same thing - they need more time to review the account. I don't think there is a specific number, it depends on the reason for blocking. If somebody is getting a lot of books blocked, then Amazon will think they don't know what they are doing and terminate their account to avoid further problems. My advise to anybody who has had even one book blocked is to stop publishing until they have learned how to publish a book that is within Amazon's guidelines. Don't publish a book if you're not sure what to do. There is a lot of learning to be done before publishing, so many people just take short cuts and publish without studying first.

There could be many reasons and without knowing more about your books I can't advise. Have you checked everything mentioned in the video? If you are still unsure about the reason, try and talk to Amazon on their chat feature. With emails it's difficult to get a real person to advise, but if you choose their chat help, you get to speak to a real person and you get a better service. Using AI is not a reason for a block, so there must be something else wrong. Good luck!

Yup, I can relate - I had a similar experience... It's because of the free credits. First, your images are public and anybody can download and use them. Second, you don't have Leonardo's permission to use the free credit images for commercial purposes. How they know that they are free credits images? Well, the KDP bots crawl the web and if they come across an image freely available - they block the book.
