Question: If you save your game with a cheat on but at a certain point the game soft lock, can you turn off the cheat in order to proceed with the game? Apparently, my game (Final Fantasy X) soft locked when Tidus performs the Jecht Shot for the first time. I had the cheat on, and now I can't proceed.

Every game uses memory and js designed in different ways, so the answer to your query here is game specific. There’s usually ways to load state / load from last in game save and then adjust the cheats to get passed any crashes or anti cheat / copy drm checks which could be built into a game. Haven’t heard any specifics on FFX in particular soz, but sometimes can find good discussions in specific games on sites like GBAtemp or the old vitahacks subreddit

@SkullatorNZ thanks bro for the info. Unfortunately, I've done several searches on subreddits but haven't found the answer I'm looking for. I've tried to turn off the cheat while in game but the cheat is somehow still active in the saved game. I'll have to dig further or load a previous save with no cheat and only activate specific cheats that won't soft lock my game. I'll have to be extra careful moving forward.

To update the cheats you just need to transfer the files, so you can do it in bulk.

try activating them during normal gameplay state if you wern't already. When to toggle can depend on how the codes were authored and what the games memory allows for often times.

Bro, I just lost ALL my save data from Muramasa Rebirth where both my MCs were at lvl 99, and the 4 dlc story MCs were also lvl 99. HELLA GRINDING, LOST! The funny part was I stopped before finishing any storyline because I had some strange urge to max out all characters before beating the final boss. AND all my save data from Soul Sacrifice. ALL of my super high magic sigils or whatever they're called. HOURS, AND HOURS, AND HOURS, JUST FIGHTING _1 GUY,_ just to level ONE of the sigils up, _...BY MYSELF_ because I only ever solo leveled that game! Never played multiplayer. But with all the games I now have after doing sd2vita mod I'll be busy playing a lot of games before I decide on coming back to those 2.

So I have a jailbroken vita and followed all the steps but when I add the folders for ux0, ur0, and change my config.txt file by adding the line under kernel. Once I reboot from vita shell I get stuck in an endless boot cycle with the start logo. I have to take my SD2Vita card out and wait for it to load without the files and then reopen the FTP and revert the changes and it works fine again. Don’t know why it’s doing this but if someone runs into this just get it load back up and literally reverse all steps to get back to normal

Worth noting which firmware you’re running. This video and cheat tool was released a long time ago and iirc would have been designed for 3.60. It’s possible it causes some kind of conflict on higher firmware due to the nature of it addressing memory and such. I’m also remembering there’s ways to define / config vitacheat to only load when you launch certain games. If this isn’t set up, it will be running through livearea etc which again could have triggered those issues firmware / storage configuration depending I suppose. Been a hot minute so my mem is foggy soz, last I looked a couple years vitacheat was still the most recent /powerful vita cheat release though so you should be able to find he common troubleshooting and support somewhere like reddit or gbatemp release topics. @@SkullatorNZ thank you, I’m running henkaku 3.65. And when I was looking into it. The only thing I could come to is my plugins. Under kernel I have 9 lines of plugins and other people have said too many plugins can crash the vita and keep it in a boot loop. Could’ve a been a number of things but I was able to revert the changes and unbrick my vita

@@gavinmedrano295 ah gotcha, yeah can happen. Btw for future record you can hold L button when henkaku enso boots to launch without plugins loaded. Can sometimes help with troubleshooting and reconfiguring without needing to eject storage etc

any error messages? Do you use enso? if you do, you can try hold down L button while your console powers on, this will load your system without any plugins being loaded. This can help you diagnose if you have a plugin configuration error or perhaps too many plugins running at once or something like that. gl gl
