Thanks for the JIS comment. Been working in engineering for 30 years and never knew this. Many thanks. Also love your vids, I know how much work goes into filming and editing, but also explaining how you do it.

Ugh that oil was nasty. So much work put into this video. Good job Darrell that Engine in your hands will last forever, cant wait for part 3 to see it riding.
@The_Home_Pros3 жыл бұрын
Thanks ants!! Yes there was tons of work in this engine and video but hopefully it lasts I’m getting like 30 psi oil pressure and manual says 28 so I think that’s very good! Thanks for watching and commenting!!

Your ATC workbench is great! Is that flywheel open to the elements? No wonder the stator coils looked like crap and there was mud in there. The offset wrist pin gives less wear and friction and less noise (piston slap) between the piston and cylinder. Its used in a lot of BMW engines and there is even one that has a offset crankshaft. Putting it in the wrong way gives a lot of noice. Good thing you read the manual when you work, seems like a forgotten ability nowadays.
@The_Home_Pros3 жыл бұрын
Haha 🤣 I need more shop space!! Your rite on the piston great description of it! And yes the manual helps a lot when you need specs on stuff, thanks for watching!! I always appreciate your comments!

Some people think that just because they watch a video, they are mechanics!! Not!! You know what has always been said, if your not a chef get out of the kitchen!!! It's nice that you explain to the viewers what your doing, and all the screw ups other bozos have done!!! There's a reason why you take things to the proper places to be repaired!!! Well done young man!!! I'm glad I found your channel. Thanks for all you do buddy!!!

It’s looking good. I think that the last owner might of known someone who knew someone who knew someone who could refurb an engine for a reasonable price, that or a relative/family friend who started it then lost interest.

hey Dave thanks a bunch I haven’t been doing so well so it’s hard for me to make videos lately. I had covid like a year ago and had it for 3 months!! and ever since covid I’ve been having bad heart pain, blood pressure problems, bad headaches, fatigue, dizziness..ect I’ve been to numerous doctors and they can’t seem to pin point what’s going on. it has really messed up my life 😔. I’m making a video of digging into the tractor transmission I’ll give u a shout out in that vid if that’s ok, my channel isn’t getting as much traffic as it was which stinks but oh well. thanks for watching dave! always appreciate your comments!
@davesworkshop27143 жыл бұрын
@@The_Home_Pros Darrell, so sorry to hear that buddy. Hopefully they'll get that figured out soon, that sucks. As for the drop in traffic, don't worry about that, you're doing great, these things come in waves. A shout out would be much appreciated 🙂👍, but don't feel under pressure. I wish i was nearer, id gladly give you a hand with the transmission. I spent the weekend on the detroit, but my brother was home for the first time in weeks and I ended up having beers so it slowed things down. Ill drop you a mail in a bit with contact details. Keep up the good fight 👍🙂
