I am not sure how "old" Thor is, but if he's actually, truly the origin of the Norse Mythos "Thor" he's had at least a few centuries of fighting and physical hardening. Even without being Asgardian, he's going to know a lot more about how to take a person down than a "mere mortal human soldier or agent" Wouldn't you agree? Thor took Loki's word that Odin had died, because Thor loves his brother. They may not get along, but they're still brothers in Thor's eyes, and in his heart. It had to be someone such as his closest of friends to deliver the news that "Loki lied, your father lives" Lady Sif was an excellent choice for that.

Rewatching this I sort of wished the scientist would have been a younger man named "Don Blake". This could have been useful later on. Like say at some point Thor is dying and Odin fuse the scientist and Thor together to save Thor's life and they become a shared being. (you could do fun little things for a while like when he's Blake, it's Thor cause Odin wants him to know what it is to be human and when he's in the form of Thor, it's Blake in control so Blake can learn what it is to be a God and having fun with it)

I love this channel and the spin offs. ( Magy and Trixy) I think you should react to the Amazon prime video show coming soon called The Wheel of Time. It airs Nov 19. There is a trailer released on Oct 28 2021. It's much better than game of thrones. Also based on a book series. But this one is finished.
