In Elden Ring, the term ‘Demi-god’ does not have the conventional meaning we’re all used to. In ER, someone is considered a Demi-god if they are a part of the royal family (Marika and her ilk). This is why Godfrey “became” a Demi-god when he married marika and why Radahn, Ranni, and Rykard became Demi-gods after Radagon returned to Marika (despite us all knowing those children actually are demigods in the sense that one of their parents is a god).

Godfrey is a tarnished I don’t know where in the game it says Godfrey is a demigod, it’s clear he is a tarnished. Demigods are all marikas children, and since marika is radigon that is why ranni is a demigod and renalla isn’t.

@@adawg3032 it is by marrying Marika that Godfrey earns the title of Demi-god as he simultaneously earns the title Elden Lord. She married him because he could help provide a strong lineage. He isn’t strong because he’s a Demi-god. He’s a Demi-god because he’s strong.

Something interesting, is Malformed Draconic helmet. Its item description, along with the depiction of a long haired, mermaid tailed, man dragon on it, makes me think that this is actually in the likeness of Godwyn. With the stone heart items being introduced in DLC, perhaps Godwyn, too, was able to assume a half draconic form, not unlike the depiction of the one just mentioned. That same depiction also resembles Godwyn's undead body, as it is now. Perhaps Godwyn, in being affected by the soul killing power of half the rune of death, caused his body to go haywire, and trigger his half transformation, or perhaps he was in the process of transforming to protect himself from the Black Knives. Anyways, I always found that Helmet to be important to Godwyn's lore.

Your video showed me something I hadn't thought about before. A few of the Night's Cavalry seem to patrol very close to the wandering merchants, who were snatched up and locked away by the Golden Order. So I think Morgotte discovered the sealed merchants and felt empathy for a group being rounded up and locked away much like himself and the royal omen. So he has the Night's Cavalry keep an eye on some of the remaining merchants to protect them.

Like I get rhe DLC story being focused on miquella but everyone shoudl have had more added to their story. I wish we could have gone back to the base game and had additional lolines of dialog or alternate interactions. For everything the DLC did right, it did something else wrong. Funnily enough before the DLC I had a theory that it would involve all the demigods that leave something "remains" behind after theyre defeated: Godrick, Rykard, Godwyn and Morgott (corpse), Malenia (bloom), Miguella (cocoon thingie). Quite ironically it turned out the exact opposite, where the two demigods that left no such obvious remains, Mohg and Radahn, were the ones central to the dlc (along side Miguella ofc).

The Beast Eye belongs to Godwyn. Also what People forget is that Godwyn was probably as Smart as Radagon and Miquella, he was probably Crafting Important Items that we can find in the Lands Between. For example the Spirit Calling Bell we get from Ranni summons 3 Wolves, there’s a Statue of Someone together with 3 Wolves in Farum Azula and we know Godwyn is the Only Demigod related to Dragons, Death/Spirits and Roots. He probably invented most of the Unique Stuff in the Lands-Between before he helped the „Ancient“ Dragon Cult to Rise in the „Capital“. That Practice was known in the Lands-Between but only added to the Capital when Godwyn started to Accept it and use it.

I think the key to Marika and radagon is trying to figure out whether if ranni, rykard, and radahn were demigods before or after radagon went to marry with marika, if they weren’t wouldn’t it mean that radagon was never a part of marika until she might have forced him to or seduced him to become her consort. If the three were demigods all along then marika and radagon must’ve been two halves of one whole all along.

So all of Marika and Radagons kids seem to have some kind of ailment (presumably due to them being two people in one body) but I just realized all of their kids ailments seem to be another living entity living inside of them. Melania has the outer god of rot, Mesmer had the Abyssal serpent. But I only ever hear people say that Miquellas eternal youth is his ailment, what if his actual ailment is St. Trina. It fits with all of the children of the comined Marika and Radagon combination being cursed with another half. That may be another reason why Miquella divested St. Trina from himself, she's literally a disease to him. A birth defect.

I'd like to add more possible interpretation (just putting ideas out there). Miquella placed Trina deep underground protected by the living dead and eye rocks that shoot lasers (I can't recall the name of them off hand) in a hard to reach underground area also hidden by a long fall that most people would presume is just a long fall that would kill them. That could be interpreted as Miquella seemingly wanting to protect Trina, but given as Trina wants you to kill him I think it's also possible that Miquella was scared of Trina and trying to make sure no one got to her to help her or to make sure she couldn't leave (if she can even move somehow). That doesn't really necessarily add or subtract any credence from my original comment, just another possible interpretation I wanted to write down.

Godfrey isn’t a demigod, when he’s killed in game he’s referred to as a Legend. Similar to people like Rellana, Rennala, Bayle & Placidusax. Marika elevated Radagon’s child to demigod status because Radagon is Marika, and the children are technically part of her. Godfrey is the first tarnished, not a Demigod.

At one point you state 'When she's finally killed, Malenia leaves behind a bloom (...) Presumably she had one more bloom to go before she could truly rise as the goddess of the scarlet rot." This is false, when you go into phase 2 of the fight, the game gives Malenia the title "Malenia, Goddess of Rot". This truly is her final form, the info text box has to be accurate. There were supposed to be 3 blooms, but the third one logically has to be the one she does first upon reaching phase 2 of the boss fight, as that one is the dividing line between Malenia, Blade of Miquella and Malenia, Goddess of Rot. I'm not sure about the second bloom though and I think this is where the common misconception that Malenia hasn't reached her final form yet comes from.
