I've been watching you for around a year and now I know why you model out the hooves, excellent explanation! I can relate I suffer with pain in my ischial tuberosity, which is the bone you sit on. As I am permanently in a wheelchair it can be rather troublesome so just like your modelling there are contour cushions available where the corresponding area is scooped out. Same problem just different solutions. I needed extra pressure relief so I have a cushion filled with things just like triangle teabags (for those that remember them) that are filled with air. The cows solution is altogether simpler but achieves the same result!
