I miss bowling. I was in a Saturday morning league from ages 11 to 17 and once I graduated HS I was in evening leagues for another 10 years. Life kinda got in the way and I stopped, then had an accident which left me disabled and ensured I’d never bowl again. I wasn’t some superstar, I think my highest league average was maybe 220 or somewhere around there, but I genuinely enjoyed the game. I really really miss it. Not just the game, but the social aspect of it as well and the friends I would make there.

I do Saturday 10am league for 11-17 and if you want to have to lane oil not so thick and don’t want to shammy every time bowl lane 1 and 2

Picking a 7-10 split without any luck: Take a 6 pound ball. Loft it high in the air with as much spin as possible so that it bounces and starts gripping at the very end of the lane. Hit the 7 pin on the far right hand side going with the spin and the light ball will bounce across the lane and hit the 10.

@SweetTBowling No, you have to be very skillful in order to hot both pins with the ball. Lucky is relying on the pin to hit the back and get a lucky bounce.

Do you also take note on where you want to finish or is your Drift the same every time? Just by sight you say you are standing at 21, 23, but you slide closer to 28? Or do you measure your starting position by your left foot, not your sliding foot?

Most bowlers I know including me, count our starting position as our non slide foot. Most people drift the same amount on every shot unless their balance is off and they accidentally drift a bit more
