Jonathan Rauch, senior fellow at the Brookings Institution and author of "The Constitution of Knowledge," gives a special lecture on his intellectual journey over the past three decades. The lecture will explore how he and other small-l liberals of the left and the right neglected institutions and intermediation, and how intermediation can complement rather than conflict with freedom.

This is a brilliant presentation. Ozachar perhaps needs to read some of RAUCH’s books and articles. I long thought that he was a moderate conservative, especially given his agreement with so many other conservatives. Ozachar missed RAUCH‘s moderation here because of his harshness for what one of my conservative friends called the “sick” Trump.

The scientific method of "trial and error", means voicing potential error is essential to seeking truth. Silencing potential "mis/dis/mal information" is eliminating the potential for growth and discovery, by arrogantly cementing the present opinion vogue as absolute eternal truth.

His lack of criticism of the glaring illiberal attitude and cancel culture of the Democratic party, internal institutional function and the Biden administration, is deminishing the intellectual integrity of his presentation. He cannot avoid placing his own tribal loyalism above all.
