Didn't you know about post iim jobs a freshout from the college will get? I will encourage people to research and make networks with either alumni or current student to get real in-depth insights. people just get allured after getting admit to iims ,completely trusting the brand name as a means to get what they desire.IIMs ,these institutes itself have not created this hype but when the students see a few very bright students getting assumed fancy roles(students with some exceptional profile) think that this what they will also get. There are misconceptions!! Every aware and well read student should evaluate what they are capable of and what they can get out of investing the desired amount of time and money, simply going into the institute in the name of brand and grandeur is not the logical way.

First of all, Capgemini is not a consulting firm its a french TCS. Invent is just another front to say they are going digital but in the end it's all application maintenance and support. second, salaries at such IT firms are not high not the job is prestigious, unlike Mckinsey, BCG or Bain. So it makes sense to join a family business where u can grow the top line and also enjoy home food n family relations. Nothing more surreal than being home. Cheers !

You just live in a hand to mouth situation where you just earn to lose much of your earnings to others and at the end nothing is left and that's how much of your youth gets wasted. In corporate you would get to network with much more sophisticated & educated individuals while in business you would have to deal with lots of illiterate/typical Desi people or labor class individuals which might affect your peace of mind. In tier 3 towns , there is no opportunities in terms of bonding with like minded ppl. And also later when your peers would rise in corporate, you might feel loads of regret. Not everything should be about money. Down the line your package would have increased anyway..

Your POV, unfortunately, is very bad,It might be a luxury for u to leave a Job if it didn't suit your Proclivities but rather than motivating People who have lesser options u constantly berate and demean the Jobs that some people could work honestly at a heartbeat. Just coz u aren't Too Famous,Too Rich,Too quick doesn't mean,The Whole World is bad. People like you must stick with Inefficient Government Jobs and Comfortable Luxury.

Absolutely, I also have small family business, frankly I can grow it big with more money, once I get good job and save. And eventually catapult it. But, if I had my family business all ready and all big with huge profit margins. I would still go for excellence. Also I know many blame the corporate lifestyle for UNABLE to save, BS. I Have many cousins in JP BCG, none of them have lavish lifestyle by choice. Most is paid by company & they save, pay edu loan. Buy apartments, invest etc. this guy was kicked out, or his family business is big enough or has that big scope. I am thinking to take up corporate and such videos are demotivating, but for me excellence is crucial.

I have a family business as well and it is running well. I have applied for CAT and got the call from new and baby IIM. Should I join family business or go for an MBA. Does MBA from IIM help you in your business. Because in my family business I don't think it will add much value. Like spending 20L for an MBA and coming back to the family business. What should I do? I need your opinion🙏. As you have gone through the same thing.
