I don't know if I'd go that far. It's certainly more charming in a shlocky kind of way, but let's not act like the team at Disney doesn't do a pretty damn good job at making the actual *comic book character* come to life through their use of cgi. Remember that just because something on screen is entirely cgi doesn't mean there isn't a ton of work going on during shooting to make sure it's believable. In fact, I'd say acting, set design, editing and directing are all a lot more complicated when something like cgi hulk is interacting with other real actors at all, and the fact that they've gotten to the point where it's fairly seemless is pretty impressive in its own right. This is literally green paint and growls, and isn't really representative of hulks actual abilities in cannon.
