Had to revisit this today. It still leaves a lump in my throat. I'm looking at the clock, it's just 2 1/2 hours to the moment a year ago when the blast took those twenty-two beautiful souls. RIP every one of you.

Makes me wish I had been born in Manchester, what a truly amazing piece of honest, sincere, oratory, I play this when I am feeling sorry for myself.

MS.CENTRUM04 TONY WALSH IS NOT AN AWARD-WINNING POET--BUT THAT IS NOT WHAT MANCHESTER NEEDED..THEY NEEDED THIS FINE MAN, AND THIS TRENCHANT POEM--WHICH TOUCHED ALL AND MADE THEM REMEMBER LOSS, A CONCERT NIGHT TURNED TO TERROR. CATHARTIC AND POWERFUL. THE POET'S COMMENTS WILL BE REMEMBERED--- FAMILY, COUNTRY, HOME, LOSS.RESISTANCE TO TERROR.

The part where he says “Pankhurst” and they all clap. Nauseating virtue signalling on display.

Moss Side is no longer where hard working families live but full of other nationalities (you work it out) on benefits - the rest is a sad reflection of British Life - I want my country back please !!

I worked every weekend in Moss Side with kids from different backgrounds at the Powerhouse centre, helping them with their homework, their mothers dropping them off before a long shift at ASDA hulme. Some of the most amazing kids who embody everything this video encapsulates about Manchester. You David, couldn’t be further from it. It’s not your country, it’s ours. Fuck you. Shame on you.
