The Infographics Show I fasted 18 hours every day for 3 months straight and lost 35lbs. This was of course with light exercise; 3-4 days per week. It was much easier to manage than to have a strict diet plan for me. It felt like I could reward myself with whatever meal I wanted during the time I could eat as long as I was strict about not eating during my fast time.

Just don't go over 24 hours. 36,48 or 72 hours puts your body into lower immune situation. Re-feed corrects this but there is a danger of COVID-19 during the longer fasting period. I skip breakfast, eat at noon to 2 pm then start fasting again. I fast between 18 to 22 hours daily. Fasts (longer) are great for bacterial infections not so much for viruses. Don't believe me, do the research, seeing we all have time on our hands.

I'm 62 years old. Seven months ago I started on a 16 hour daily fast eating pretty much what I liked . Since then I have graduated to a 20 hour fast combined with a keto diet and daily gym exercise. I have struck weight loss plateaus along the way that can be fixed by mixing things up a little , like a prolonged 72 hour fast for example. Overall I have lost 25kgs which is a quarter of my previous body weight. My doctor has taken me off blood pressure and cholesterol medication. I also have normal blood sugar levels. I will continue with atleast a version of this diet ( maybe 16 hours fasting ) now for life and would recommend it to anyone struggling with obesity because of how easy it is. We are being lied to. Hannibal Justin Case the talk programs suddenly filled up with ‘nutrition’ experts who went on and on about carb diets, fat started to be normalized and even encouraged by new fashions and talk about ‘body shaming’, Ancel Keys and his acolytes demonized fats, fast food companies started competing on volume instead of price, etc. It was amazing to watch the country turn into obesity-land.
@St3veWK5 жыл бұрын
@@hannibaljustincase9985 Back in the 80's the government came out with a new food guide, and they told everyone that people should eat up to TWELVE servings of bread and grains per day!!! And that low fat was the heathy way to eat. We know now that it was just to pump up the grain industry... Annnd obesity skyrocketed after that.
@aaronlandry39345 жыл бұрын
I don’t understand why people demonize Carbohydrates today, nor why they’re unable to write out or just say the word “Carbohydrates” instead? They’re only harmful when eaten with lipids, because lipids bind to carbohydrates and the cells keep the lipids stored while the carbohydrates are used up. Sugar is another problem, because it serves essentially no dietary benefits and is added to everything that we consume, adding several empty calories to our foods. Fast food is another problem, because when foods are deep fried, they lose almost all dietary value and essentially become more empty calories.

I fast for 24 hours, usually once per week, but I switch it up, and sometimes just do a 16-18 hour fast. I will have no calorie tea, or pickle juice, sometimes a teaspoon of soy sauce. Fasting is great! I started easy, 14/10 = 14 hours fasting period to a 10 hour feeding period until it got easy (few days) then increased to 16/8, 18/6, 20/4 and once a week 1 meal a day. It taught me independence from food, weight loss, mental clarity. It also made me want to consume better meals, more healthy with great pleasure. I'm a total epicurean, but I like my health equally. Skipping a meal or 2 is ok, pleasure from eating WILL be there when you eat again, just less of eat. Quality vs quantity, plus you'll look better (if weight needs to be shed) Do it. It's how we started as a species. Think our ancestors 300 000 years ago ate 3 meals a day? Did they die from not eating a few days while chasing mammoths? No. Because they had to be well organized and strong and alert their mind was sharp. We survived. You will too! But I suggest to do it with knowledge, read books, have a plan or be supervised. Nuff said.

After I got positive feedback and got educated on the idea I started simulating my eating habbits from back when I was a teenager. Started losing weight by the day. In combination with exercise it has proven to be a great way to eat tasty food and look and feel better at the same time. Just have dinner at 7-8pm and then skip to late lunch at around 1-2pm then hit the weights!

I also go for an hour long bike ride to the mall, then an hour walking around the mall, after work every day, as many reps of all my weight exercises and as many squats and butterfly squats as I my body can handle, I never go past my bodies natural limit. I've lost so much weight in just 3 weeks.
