I once talked to a North Korean defector and his family is a part of the elite. His life was good compared to the average person but he still wanted to defect. Lives of the elite may be better than the average people but is still hard compared to other countries. He managed to defect but his family are safe as he said. I guess that is one of privileges of being a part of the elite. Otherwise families of the defectors are often sent to labor camps. He said he was sent to a labor camp for 3 weeks but got let out due to his family background. Life is so sad for the people and is better for elite but life is still pretty hard. I hope one day they can live in peace and harmony.

The title of this video would still be correct if you swapped North Korea with literally any country. The only difference is the poverty rate. It is a lot more common in under developed and developing countries.

See the thing is with business.. theres just no need to treat people so badly. Like the middle eastern countries could easily give them nice bedding, ok food. Allow them a few more breaks. Sure a bit of your margin will go down - but a happy, motivated workforce will be much better for your business in the long run

Work in the richer middle eastern countries are supposed to be horrible.A lot of people from poorer countries go to those countries as larboures, maids and servants because the pay is better(though relatively lower) and could be a better life for their families.the people overseeing them are very strict and cruel, and sometimes they would not even pay the people the money they are due.

@@Michaelengelmann. I hope he stays safe cause yeah those people have lots of money and tend to look at people as replaceable objects. A good friend of mine that is extremely rich said that rich people in Saudi Arabia will abandon cars that are worth hundreds of millions of dollars if they get into an accident to avoid getting into trouble. He said many people there made him seem poor in comparison when he did business out there and he is a multi millionaire.

@@thebestcentaur find a church that actually helps! Your talking to someone who’s family is full of missionaries. Just building a little wooden stage for a village to sing and dance on changes the atmosphere of the entire village. Let alone bringing food and medicine. There are causes you can donate to that are very pure and local. You just need to find them. God bless
