There is a story floating about of an F22 escorting a drone close to Iran. Earlier Iran had simply harassed one into submission after downing one months earlier. This time Iran had sent up a couple of its F4s to render it useless. The escorting 22 snuck up under one of the F4s to check its weapons load and then canopy rolled up aside it and the 22 pilot told the Iranians that they should really consider going home. They did. It's more likely that some F-35s would be deployed as well. They're cheaper, there's far more of them, and as far as sharing information across platforms, the F-35 is basically a super sonic AWACS itself. ESPECIALLY if there's a follow up air to ground attack, the F-35 is clearly the best option. The F-22 is a better air to air fighter, and would probably be deployed, but it's guaranteed that it would be paired with some F-35s.

The raptor has the same radar sharing ability as the f35, they are both far weaker than the AWACS though, which is why they are still used. The best option here would be to have mixed fleets of raptors and lightnings where the lightings, escorted by the raptors, are doing the bomb drops while raptors take care of hostile fighters.

send a pair of f-35s and an f-22 and the world would be conquered in less than 24 hours
@sirenderwellesley68022 жыл бұрын
F-35 would most likely not be deployed first as they fly when air space has been captured. F-22s are sent out first to establish uncontested airspace, followed by F-35s with hard points to carry extra bombs. F-35s are not super capable as fighters, compared to the F-22.

Pair the F-22 with the F35 and you have the ultimate air/ground attack combo. And the F35 can lock on with out alerting enemy fighters providing that data to F22 to fire without alerting them. The F35 can also provide radar jamming to even further widen the capability gap between the two countries. Not being as capable in dogfights, the F35 would excel in supporting the F22
@dutchgamerguy24462 жыл бұрын
The F-35 might even be better, it’s beats the F-22 in all categories except speed and maneuverability, it’s stealth is better, it carries more weapons, it’s cannon is better, it’s sensors are better (not sure but quite certain), in a long range dogfight the f-35 would win, in a short range dogfight the f-22 would (probably) win
@Zeezke992 жыл бұрын
@@dutchgamerguy2446 The F22 has a smaller radar cross section, it's stealth is better. The F22 is the considerably better dogfighter. The F22 can house 8 internal missiles (6 AMRAAM, 2 AIM), while the F35 only hold 6, (4 and 2 respectively). The F35 can hold more weapons in beast mode, however at that point it's no long all that stealthy. The F35 absolutely has better sensors, and is an all around amazing aircraft. It is very much a force multiplier. What the F22 falls short in (mainly the sensors), the F35 fixes that.

the missile knows where it is at all times, it knows this because it knows where it isn't. by subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (whichever is greater) it obtains a difference, or deviation. the guidance sub system uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is, to a position where it isn't, arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. consequently, the position where it is, is now the position where it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was, is now the position that it isn't. in the event that the position that it is, is not the position that it wasn't, the system has acquired a variation, the variation being the difference between where the missile is, and where it wasn't. if variation is considered to be a significant factor, it to may be corrected by the GEA, however, the missile must also know where it was. the missile guidance computer scenario works as follows. because a variation has modified some of the information the missile has obtained, it is not sure just where it is. however, it is sure where it isn't (within reason), and it knows where it was. it now subtracts where it should be, from where it wasn't, or vise versa. and by differentiating this from the algebraic sub of where it shouldn't be, and where it was. it is able to obtain the deviation, and its variation. which is called "error".

Just remember everyone: The F-22 has tons of classified abilities that the public is totally unaware of. So it’s most likely the Chinese fighters wouldn’t down any of them even if they sent a dozen J-20s against a flight of F-22s. Infographics is doing a scenario based on the basic and public information and abilities of the plane and it’s obvious why but it needs to still be remembered the F-22 can do a ton of cool stuff that’s classified.
@СтелианДимов-д8ч2 жыл бұрын
But you somehow assume the J-20's stats are less classified ? Dubious logic at best . It doesn't even look similar to the Raptor. Americans are always very biased when judging another country's fighting abilities. Just an opinion, no hard feelings.

@@СтелианДимов-д8ч it is like that. They think their stuff is the superior without even considering that we know tons of information about the F22, but we know nothing of what the J20 or Su57 is capable of. And that matches in every aspect of their military. American propaganda at its finest.

@LIVE4CBR2 жыл бұрын
What do you expect? That the aircrafts stealth-capacities makes them completely invisible on radar? This 25 year old plane is no match against modern radar technology...
@sovietpineapple79382 жыл бұрын
@@LIVE4CBR Uh, it is most certainly a match. An RCS of ~.0001m^2 from most frontal angles is extraordinarily difficult just to detect without a massive radar installation. The S-400's primary search and track radar (92N6E), for example, has a detection range of ~250km against 4m^2 targets. If we assume an RCS of ~.0001m^2 (-40dBsm), it would only be able to detect an F-22 at roughly 17.7km away. Even if we bring the RCS up to .1m^2, that's still only a ~99km detection range. And this doesn't even account for jamming, which the F-22 can do very well since the APG-77v1 is one of the best AESAs in the world, along with stuff like the APG-81 and Captor-E. Any radar array powerful enough to detect an F-22 from any meaningful distance is likely stationary, and would be overwhelmed by standoff munitions before F-22s even come into play.

1. 1:56 if the F-15 Eagle was expecting an attack from the east, turning onto the AWACS six o' clock would give the F-15 time to launch 8 amraams, then the J-15s could either dive or be shot down due to how good the amraams are at mid to high altitude. 2. 2:44 I dont think you could evade an amraam just by turning 90 degrees, they are still at high altitude and the Amraams are far enough away that they would have to predict, but not follow the turn, a more likely manuever might be to go dive downwards to the deck to evade the missles 3. 2:57 the Amraam does not have a range in excess of 50 kilometers I think im going to stop pointing out errors because im lazy but this video has a lot of errors, same could be said for most videos related to the air force or aircraft. the infographics show, despite its name its not a valid source for information about aircraft, sorry for the lack of grammar im just lazy.

The F-22 may not be THAT customizable. Besides, those kinds of missiles are ONLY used when air superiority is achieved.
