Those are pressed at GZ. All the bad pressings I have gotten from VMP were always the ones from GZ. They should have stuck with QRP for these premium box sets.

I don't like that VMP don't provide info about if source is digital or analog, you are supposed to be an audiophile label but focus on packaging info. Great channel Mike thank you for your valuable info.

My GD box set showed up with absolutely no damage to the shipping box but the internal box was trashed. I have been waiting months with multiple broken promises for a replacement. Unacceptable business practice for a $500 box set. VMP customer service is the pits! Getting really close to posting all of the emails of broken promises to help others avoid the nightmare surrounding VMP customer service.

@@arielvaldivia4416 yup, they announced a full box set last week of all the studio records and some demos. Sold out almost everywhere but I think Acoustic Sounds still had some as of yesterday

Embedded whatever used to mean the vinyl was recycled and the embedded material was almost always paper from a label from the recycled records. Same here? I hope not.

Yes. It's a chunk of paper.

@@TheInGroove That means they aren't using "virgin" vinyl. In the old days, I saw more of that on Capital (Jacksonville?) pressings on various labels. Anyway, this is a bad thing.

@@johnmcbarron7282 its mostly being done because of environmental reasons for them... so we have a safe ecofriendly option

@@duke86fan The old method was to put a chemical is put in the hot material to draw the paper to the bottom of the tank. It is not a perfect solution and occasionally, paper appears in the pressed vinyl.

Unless it's from "Bernie grundmans" studio, even if they cut straight from 2 track, theres a "digital delay" that the cutter head cuts from! Albeit it's much higher resolution these days, instead of the standard "redbook " specs!

I agonized over buying this. It sat in my cart for a few weeks. The fact that they didn't give out all source info gave me the impression a lot of it would be digital transfers so I was turned off. Aside from the schmutz, this video gave me major fomo and now the prices have instantly doubled on discogs.

Same here. I also didn’t pull the trigger. Interestingly enough after this set sold out I streamed six of the albums and only really dug three of them. The others I’d probably never listen to. So I went ahead and purchased the Pure Pleasure versions of those three. At least they’re all pressed at Pallas - this GZ vinyl crap I refuse to entertain.
