Hello from Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, home of the famous Cincinnati Chili. What you have there is called a 4-way - chili, spaghetti, onions and cheese. Without the onions it's a 3-way, if you add beans its a 5-way. The dish is served with a healing mind of cheese on top. Another good that's specific to Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky is goetta. It's a breakfast food that's extremely popular here also. Great reaction, btw 💞

I enjoy watching these gentlemen try new foods. They are always so polite, even if the food is not to their taste. They always find something positive to say about it. I also really like learning about similar dishes they enjoy at home. It’s so interesting when they do comparisons and tell stories about holidays and occasions where they would eat a dish like the new one they are trying. I always feel so proud of how the world has grown in the last 50 years or so when I see these videos - like, it's only recently that humanity is even capable of transporting a lot of the more perishable foods across the world. The fact that I have the option to order almost any kind of food, just to try it, is extremely unique to the last few decades. At any other time in human history, this would be impossible. This is how new ideas happen. New foods are introduced and people see the merits of how they're made, and decide to make something similar out of different, local ingredients. Then, suddenly, a new food is born that's nothing like the things the locals eat and ALSO nothing like the dish it was based on!

You all confused chili as in a semi soup in a bowl rather than the Cincinnati Chili, the THICK meaty spicy stew with chili seasonings, cinnamon spices in it, on top of a spaghetti, cheese on top, beans optional, onions! These gentlemen had a four way Cincinnati Chili. Either way, it's delicious! If you want your own chili spaghetti, without what Cincinnati Chili has, you can enjoy it that way too! I make mine with Bush's Chili Starter, and pile it on like a Cincinnati Chili method lol.

You should serve the tribal people chili hot dog, you take a hot dog bun, hot dog pour chili over the top of it add diced onions and cheese on top of it. Also with hot dog and bun, you can add sauerkraut, diced onions, you can add mustard or ketchup to the hot dog bun too.

Delicious! I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and still love to eat the chili. Many people in the USA don’t like Cincinnati chili. It is more of a regional dish popular in Ohio and surrounding states. My children love chili because I make it for them. Have a wonderful day!

Find some Eastern Indiana, just across the Ohio border. I don't remember Cincinnati chili. I'll have to try it sometime! We used to eat chili mac which was just chili with or without beans with elbow macaroni mixed in.

Just to be clear, MOST people in the US eat chili in a bowl because it is a thick soup - no pasta. This is a regional dish, not country wide. We also have White Chicken Chili.

Cincinnati Chili is a completely different flavor profile to Texas Chili - some people say we Cincinnatians have “no right” to call our dish chili, but ours DOES contain chili powder. It just also has *other* spices , ones that are more common in Greek/Macedonian dishes (the creators of Cincinnati Chili were immigrants of that background). There are other people who say our Cincy Chili is “just spaghetti bolognese”, but again : No, it’s not ! Again, it’s a different flavor profile to the very-Italian bolognese sauce, despite its superficial resemblance.

Please tell the guys that here in the U.S., many families (especially men) have their own special recipes for chili. We even have chili cook-offs, which are competitions to see who makes the best chili. We have some restaurants called "chili parlors" that specialize in chili. The first time I ever tasted Cincinnati chili was at a chili parlor.

I think i need to eat at Gul Sher's house! My goodness, that sounds wonderful! My Mom has always preferred spaghetti with chili, but I make my Dad and I "green rice" (rice with lots of cilantro and a little lime zest). I grew up in the US - but had never heard of Cincinnati chili. It's.....interesting. Would never have though of putting chili on top of noodles. Will never forget the arguments I had with two Texans about putting beans in chili. I'm from LA - we put beans and cheese in anything we can. They were dead set against both. One of them would spin in his grave thinking about chili on noodles. I can hear his voice in my head now. Made me smile. Thanks for opening my eyes to a new way to serve this dish - and thank you, gentlemen, as always for your wonderful responses.

In my family we like chili straight up without pasta as well with or with Rice. I prefer rice with it. To me, pasta is closer to the Italian dishes we have. Lol I do love it all ways . If it's too spicy I add sour cream to mine. Some like some don't do you put your own if you do . ❤

I wish someday you would offer them a cheese platter. Sample 5 or 6 kinds of cheese. Colby, cheddar, mozzarella, Gouda, bleu cheese etc..... That way they can know how big of a deal “cheese” is in the world.

its supposed to be wetter its based on a greek sauce...some greek immigrants invented it in the 1920's for their restaurant been a city staple since...it's basically just some ground beef cinnamon tomato paste and a few other spices...it's nothing like what would be traditionally considered chili...spaghetti and hotdogs are the 2 main ways we eat it...loads of other adaptations like chili nachos but those two are the traditional way

Chili in terms of American culture, is a crazy dish to analyze. Depending on what region you visit, if you order chili very different things will be put in front of you. Does it contain beans or no beans (Texas)? Does it have tomatoes or none? Is it served with a cinnamon roll or corn bread or Fritos? Is it served on spaghetti (Ohio)? Does it contain beef or no meat at all? Is it made from chicken? Is it red or white? The right answer depends on location but there is no definative version.
