I sat outside in a restaurant in Frederick, MD, which is a bedroom community for thousands of government agency employees. They all have many things in common. Most are college-educated. Most have good government jobs, great benefits including pensions and lifelong medical benefits, plenty of time off, etc. They look to retire early, then, get a job with a government contractor so they can qualify for SS by working another few years - then, retire comfortably. These are all Harris voters. They do not want to rock the boat. They do no want to be thrown out into the real world. They like big government because, for them, it's an easy life. You can't blame them. However, the world that they enjoy cannot exist longterm. It's either deal with it now, or, deal with it when the USG defaults and can no longer afford to support them.

Foreign aid - GONE, Foriegn war funding - GONE, all aid to non citizens - GONE, HALFWAY THERE? ALL Federal departments budgets trimmed 10% in 2024 while deeper cuts are evaluated. The US Senate and US Congress budgets trimmed 50% immediately. That would get us on track to a Government for the people and by the people.

From my time in the military. One thing i learned, that many different federal institutions do, coming to the end of the fiscal year, in October. They go on a mad dash, spending spree. Because they want to keep the same level of funding the next fiscal year. They will spend money on nonsense, just so they keep the same level of funding next year. They should start there.

We need an ATF because revenue from alcohol and tobacco stamp taxes and the federal regulation and taxing of firearms are all necessary for the operation of the federal government. The ATF has been in existence since Abraham Lincoln was president. Further, the IRS is necessary for those who received taxable federal income and federal benefits. Our federal government was a party to those economic transactions.
