Primogems (that crytal looking star you keep obtaining) can be converted into fates or wishes to pull on banners. Also, I highly recommend you wishing mostly on the limited banners that use the pink fates. Example: the Raiden Shogun or Yoimiya Banners are the limited banners. They will disappear after 20 days or so and will be replaced with another limited banner after. I also highly recommend you do the trails or test-runs, to test out the limited time banner characters to see if you like them or not. As well as to know how they work, in case you want to get the promoted characters. The trails/test runs can be opened and seen through the icon at the top right corner beside the star. It is the icon that looks like a compass. Also trails or test-runs are done for free. No need to pay, no need to unlock anything. You can do it right now actually hehehe and don't forget to claim the rewards after the trail/test-run is completed. LASTLY: Do Not Spend your primogems or wishes on the Standard banner (the one with keqing, mona and qiqi) as it is permanent and you gradually get free summons for that banner as you go along the game. PS. i know this is a lot to take in, but regardless I hope you enjoy the game! New subscriber here!!!

I'd add that buying fates/wishes is about the only thing to spend your Primogems on. You *can* spend them on eg replenishing resin (a whole different topic) but unless you're one of these weirdos who just wants to min-max a handful of characters that's not very profitable. So don't be afraid to spend your primos on wishes. Oh, but be careful with the weapon banner. Like the standard banner, it's not like they're *bad*, it's just that you can get more bang for your buck/free primos elsewhere.

You can use any weapon of the right type on any character. The 4-star weapon is autolocked to prevent it being accidentally used as enhancement material. Not all weapons are equally good for any given character, but they can all be used.

It's good wisdom to use the roads in Genshin. As much fun as it is going off road and exploring, the developers actually placed a lot of things along the roads for you to discover. And I honestly believe they did things in such a way that walking along the paths give you some of the best views in the game.

I won't advise you too much, I like watching people figure things out, but I do suggest using the characters' elemental skills as often as you can. They load up fairly quickly, so you can keep using them without worry, and then save the bursts for bigger or larger groups of enemies. Using the skills loads up the bursts too, so you'll get those up faster too! Glad to see you having fun! ♡

You should claim the statue furniture in the events overview with just one button, because after 16 days it disappears and it will not come back. It's a collaboration with a museum. (It’s beautiful). Btw in the archive (At the Paimon's icon) you can find a section to read the books.

One useful thing is to notice that enemy shield fields have an element to them. So if you want to take care of pyro mage shield, you can use a character like Kaeya that deals cryo damage. I would advise you to check which elements work well on other elements :) Also, I would also suggest to always use the ultimate attack (triangle) whenever it's ready, makes the combat more dynamic. But then, you can play Genshin in any way you want, really :)

Do note that Cryo is only slightly effective against those shields, Hydro (water) is the best for them, and fortunately a free Hydro character is available after the Mondstadt quest line is finished.

yes, Noelle is a standard character that everyone gets early in the game, but that girl is awesome, because she shields and she heals, she is also capable to deal quite a lot of damage, so she's definitely a solid unit for the team🛡🧡

don't think too much about artifacts until you get purple ones, and later on gold ones. Blue ones are also fine early game, but you'll replace them later for purple or gold ones. Same with weapons - purple are the best ones for you atm, and yes, you can use the ones with the red lock on them. Also with artifacts there are buttons now in their selection screen, that'll help you to understand what sets you might use and what characteristics you need on them. Good luck and enjoy your ride

I don't think this is good advice, even though they will be replaced i think 2-3 stars artifacts are worth equipping and leveling up because it's so satisfying min maxing, later in the game were getting artifacts is like a chore and it's easily the worst part of the late game but in early game u just equip stuff u find and optimising the little u have and getting good results is soo satisfying..

Upgrading artifacts now will be definitely a waste, but even then, upgraded can be used to upgrade better one later, but without artifacts he will have hard times, also all he needs now is just a primary stat, set bonuses and secondary stats are mostly useless for him.

Hi Roamer, I'm really happy to see you having fun with this game and hoping for more of it going forward! So, to help you with the gacha system: There are two types of wishes: the blue ones and the colorful ones. The blue ones you can only use on the standard banner, which has a set few characters and weapons that you can get. But it's highly not recommended for you to spend the currency on this one. You should always pick the colorful once over the blue. The colorful are used for the limited banners, which have bigger value for you and with these banners you can actually choose who you want to get. And if you're not sure who you want to get, you can always trial run the characters that are currently on the banner in the event menu. That way, you can see their gameplay, how much you like them and if you want to get them for your team. To get a character, it's mostly just chance. You can get them from 1 to 90 pulls. By the time you get to 80-90 it's basically a guarantee that you get a 5 star character. You might get it earlier though. And the system in this game is that once you get a 5 star, there is a 50/50 chance that it's the one on the banner or from the standard banner(so either way you'll be able to get standard characters by losing 50/50). If you win the 50/50 and get the limited character, then you're back at the 50/50 again. If you lose a 50/50 and get a standard instead, the next 5 star is guaranteed to be the character that's on the banner. And remember one thing: While you're starting out, never touch the weapon banner, because it's way harder to get what you need and the overall satisfaction from it is way smaller than if you get a character. So try to avoid the weapon banner for now! Hopefully these tips will help you out! :)

man, i'm so happy to hear that you're enjoying this so much that you want to dedicate three videos a week to it! i really love your energy and how you're appreciating both the big and little things in the game. i hope you don't mind me answering more of the questions you've had in this video and the one previous! it's absolutely okay to be new and inexperienced! we all had our 'first few hours' in genshin and all had to learn the ropes. we all made the same mistakes, and that's why so many of us are happy to help point out little tips and tricks and answer your questions! don't apologize for being inquisitive, curiosity and a desire to learn are both good things. - the compass in the top right of your screen is your limited-events menu. you can try out the characters on the current banner with the 'Test Run' mode, and get rewards for doing so. i'd also recommend clicking 'collect' on that third event with the handsome man in traditional clothing-- the item you receive won't be helpful to you for a while, but it doesn't cost you anything to do so, and you'll be glad you got it when the time comes for you to be able to use it, i'll bet! - the notifications section of the paimon menu tells you about all of the upcoming events in the game, including upcoming banners. it's not all just them trying to sell you stuff, and clicking through all the tabs there will also clear the '!' on the side, if that bothers you. - you don't have to worry *too* much about artifacts at your current level. as you face more challenging foes and your levels climb, you'll want to start specializing your characters via their artifacts, and there are plenty of websites out there that give recommendations for different builds and team combinations! personally, i use game8 to help plan my builds, but for now, don't stress too much about the 'right' thing to equip to a character. - Generally, shops either have a static inventory that you can empty (like Marjorie's souvenir shop) or they have inventories that refresh every day, three days, or week (like the menu at Good Hunter, or Blanche's general goods store). The anemo sigils you gathered can only be spent at Marjorie's shop, so there's no harm in using them there! - Noelle is a character that everyone receives guaranteed if they pull on the beginner's banner like you did! She's not exclusive to it though, there's a small percentage chance to pull her from the other banners as well. Every 4 star character has an equal ~5% chance to be pulled when wishing. 4-star characters that are featured on a banner, though, have a higher chance to show up. For example, right now, on the banners for Yoimiya and Raiden Shogun, there are three 4-star characters behind them that are currently more likely to show up than the rest (Bennett, Kujou Sara, and Chevreuse). The featured 4-stars switch out just like the featured 5-stars do, and often compliment the playstyle of the current featured 5-star. - While gliding, staying in an updraft will restore your stamina, and you can idle in the middle of an updraft, you don't have to be constantly moving through it! The rings that push you through will generally change your trajectory towards the intended destination, whether that's the next updraft, or your end goal. It tries its best to be intuitive, but it's understandable that your brain would still try to overcorrect your movements (I know mine did, I failed the windgliding tests half a dozen times each!). As for the chests trapped in tunnels of air, generally you're meant to find a higher place to glide down onto the chest from. Look for cliffs nearby and thread the needle into it to claim your prize!

People have probably already told you, but you can adjust the healing % of the statues of the seven so they automatically heal you up to 100% when you get close to them! It’s pretty useful, especially when you don’t have a healer 😊 also domains you have unlocked also function as teleport points. That one took me a while to realise when I was a new played 😂

BTW, I noticed that your ping (which you can see on the top right of the screen) is sometimes going up high, so if you ever notice a small delay when you're switching characters, picking up items, opening chests, etc... - it's because of the high ping! Also, if you ever want to read any of the books you are picking up, most of them don't get added into the normal inventory. You can find the vast majority of the books you pick up in the Archive menu. To get to the Archive you need to open the Pause/Paimon menu by pressing the Options button on PS, and there you'll find the button for Archive. Inside the Archive are other menus for Books, Locations, Info on monsters, Tutorials and other things.

Important tip for situations like 50:38. You might’ve noticed the things on the ground that when collected float around you. If you collect three of these (there’ll always be three scattered around the area) it’ll create a wind current which you can use to glide up and collect the item! You can also collect one of them and then use an anemo (wind) skill and it’ll also create a wind current :D

A couple things to know that I wish I knew about Genshin when starting: Don’t stress too hard about leveling every single character. Whoever your team carry is, focus on them first. Noelle is great for early game imo! She heals and hits like a truck. Elemental reactions are key. You kind of started to figure that out with superconduct, but you can do things like apply Kaeya’s skill and then switch to Amber to melt the enemy or vice versa. There’s a domain that does walk you through it but don’t forget to use those skills! Don’t stress about artifacts until you unlock the artifact domains and get purple and gold artifacts. For now just focus on talent levels and weapon levels and getting through the story. And lastly but certainly not least: welcome to Genshin! There’s a ton of lore to unlock and I’m excited to see you enjoy it!

Hello! I recently found your channel and I haven't quite made it to this episode yet, but I just wanted to give you some advice and figured the most recent video would be the smartest to comment on. My three biggest pieces of advice for a new player are: 1. Don't rush, the game is beautiful in all stages and rushing to late-game will cause you to miss the fun of early-game 2. Be mindful of how you spend your in game currency (primogems). You said in your first video that you want to be a free to play player, and that's great! I think the game is far more enjoyable that way, I'm free to play as well and personally the feeling of payoff feels a lot better than I think it would if I had just spent money instead. I like to say that the game has two forms of payment, either money or time. The game is huge and with enough time you'll be able to earn enough primogems for mostly anything you could want, of course some people don't have the time so they use money instead, but for those of us that have the time I think it's well worth it for us to sink so much time into it 3. Don't listen to backseaters when it comes to meta and what characters are the "best" and "worst" and the like. The game is not hard nor is it pvp and yet for some reason there's a percentage of the player base that will always hound on others for not using the absolute best characters. Personally for me, when I decide whether I want a character or not my priority goes "do I like their personality/story?" -> "are they fun to play?" -> "are they strong?" though I do know some people who will switch the first two and I respect that, for me it will always be story first and foremost and then gameplay And that's it! I hope you're having a wonderful time playing, this game is gorgeous for a multitude of reasons and it just keeps getting better. It is so skillfully crafted in all manner of ways and I can't wait for you to see everything it has to offer!

Here's a list of elemental reactions you might want to know: (I will be referring to the elements you currently have and their basic terms to make it easier to understand e. g. Fire, Ice, etc.) Fire + Ice produces Melt which deals increased damage. Fire + Electricity produces Overload which combines the two damage and cause an explosion. Ice + Electricity produces Superconduct which increases damage from physical attacks like your normal attacks. Rock + Any element except Wind produces elemental shards that gives you a shield when you pick them up. Wind + Any element except Rock absorbs the element it comes into contact with and spreads it. There are way more reactions in the game, and along with the reactions I mentioned are far more complex than I just described. But that's the basics you need to know for now.

ADVICE & ANSWERS TO SOME QUESTIONS YOU ASKED (Long comment incoming sorry lol) (Super glad to see you continuing this series btw :)) - pace yourself! There are a lot of unvoiced world quests that can get very long, but as long as you don't try to rush through them they're really interesting. They really develop the world & many (especially the very long ones) have important lore, too (that being said, important lore can be scattered Everywhere,, from notes on the ground to books in the archive to artifact/item/weapon descriptions,,, lol) - if you plunge attack, you can lessen fall damage. If it's a short enough fall, it cancels fall damage completely. You could even fall for a long time & negate all damage if you plunge attack once you get a certain distance from the ground - there are livestreams that happen before every update. if you wanna continue Really blind, do not watch these or the version trailers. They spoil so much. Just look up the 3 free primogem codes & the character details of the banners after - it's worth going into the character screen & reading up on each person's talents/abilities. Some things perform differently if you hold vs press, some things work differently w/ certain other members in the party, etc - if you see a treasure Icon next to a dialogue option, it means the NPC will give you a gift if you follow that conversation path - after a weapon says max level reached, click through once more, because you could "ascend" a weapon & be able to level it even more! Most weapons go up to level 90 - claymores can smash ore more easily than swords - unfortunately, you can't buy clothes unless it's a reward from a limited time event (after events are over, if you want a skin, you have to use real money) - don't fall into fomo re: events, though. Like w/ world quests, rushing to them is the fastest way to suck the fun out of them - characters that join your party aren't necessarily "with you" in canon (in fact, w/ the way banners work, you might have someone join your party who you haven't met yet or who is against you). In canon, it's just the traveler & paimon :)

Use your skill more often! Have a rotation while they go on cooldown. For example if you use kaeya's ult it will stay for the duration so maybe you can ult with amber or Lisa to trigger elemental reaction (more damage) Also pay attention to the status of enemies, if they're on fire just hold down traveller's swirl ability for easy clear

Cool video. It's always nice to see fresh people embarking on a new journey through the world of Genshin. Here few general quick tips from me: Try to spend some time (maybe even off-record) going through all buttons/UI elements in the game just to see what's doing what (there relatively a lot of stuff that you missing/missunderstanding/not know about so far). Also it's best not to ignore enemy/mechanics/reactions tutorials, they can help avoid unnecessary confusion in some situations. And don't ignore artifacts, they are just as important as weapons or character level.

A couple of suggestions although i think u will learn them sooner with your pace too. - if you use Noelle Shield and then attack enemies, it heals the whole party ( as seen on the last fight) - you can switch to other party members when you have a skill of one character on screen as well. for eg. switch to MC when kaeya frost ring is active or switch to Noelle use shield and go to other characters and hit. This will be important later. - The best way to counter abyss mage is not by levelling up but by understanding elements. After you get barbara , a water/ hydro character, you will melt all pyro/fire abyss mage shield in a second. - I laughed a lot when you missed a chest in Dadaupa gourge after u did the fighting trial. There were 4 chests, u took 3 and ran off with one chest marker on screen.

Her shield is gonna be your best friend I swear, you can switch characters and still have the shield, also if you hit enemies with her shield on you can heal all party members. For her, defense stats are gonna make the shield and heal stronger. Also just a tip: I think rn for her debate club claymore will make more damage. I hope you still playing her!!!:))

hello! i adore genshin so i have some tips if you dont already know them :) -my personal most important, read the talents in the character screen! they tell you what a characters role is in the team and what stats they need to do more damage, as well as some special perks they may have! (eg noelle's shield strength scales on defence, so give her more def artifacts!) -skim through the tutorials ('?' icon), sometimes if you dont know how to do something, there may be a tutorial that can help! (it also gives you primogems) -there are different types of quests, story quests are the ones that focus on a playable character (like kaeya and amber), and world quests are quests with npcs, then there's the archon quest which is the main quest! -save your primogems for the pink and blue fates as they're used for limited time characters, and the wishing system is relatively complicated so it'll take a while to get used to... -the books you collect can be read in the archive which is in the paimon menu! though i wouldnt spend too much time reading them unless you want to dig really far into the lore -to answer a question from the previous video, you cant buy skins, they're unfortunately bought with irl money and there's only a few characters that have them (though some are obtainable in limited events) -this is more of an advanced thing, but there's an interactive map online that shows the locations of all the different resources/puzzles/chests in the game! there's an official one, and a community-made one. you probably wont need it as a new player, but its great for exploration later on but still, feel free to play the game how you want too! there's an entire world to explore and many more characters, stories, and regions to look forward too! anyway, im very excited to see you play through genshin, as well as your reactions to it! im sure many others enjoy helping the newbies and i hope all our tips aren't too overbearing, but all in all, enjoy genshin!!

9:44 Yes. All of us get Noelle for free when we pull on the Beginner wish banner. There are a few free characters that you will get when the requirements are met. 1. Barbara (Hydro catalyst, Healer): Finish Mondstadt AQ. 2. Xiangling (Pyro Pole arm, Sub DPS): Finish Spiral Abyss floor 3, chamber 3 3. Collei (Dendro bow, Support): Finish Spiral Abyss floor 4, chamber 3 4. Lynette (Anemo sword/ Ousia, Support): Reach AR level 25. Every patch we got free limited stuff (either character, weapon or teapot furniture). For this patch (4.3) sadly the 'Melusine Claymore' is not attainable for you anymore because the event is finished during phase 1 BUT the next patch (4.4) you can pick either 1 of the Liyue 4 stars during Lantern Rite (I recommend Xingqiu, Yao Yao or Yanfei). There is also a new 4 star character in the next patch called Gaming (Gah - Ming)

Just a note, all artifacts and weapons are instantly usable once they're in your inventory. The lock sign just means you won't lose it to being used as upgrade material. I do recommend locking at least 5 weapons of each type (eg: lock 5 traveler's handy sword and 5 slingshots and so on, for their respecitves refinements. Also for collector's sake xD)

Damn, I just finished the second episode and this popped up! Just some small little tips to help you on your journey: 1. First and foremost, have fun and play however you want to play! A lot of people have commented this before, but it probably the most important part of Genshin. It is a casual game that can be played however you want, be it casual play or for sweaty try hards (I am mostly the latter but do enjoy the casualness of the game). Go at your own pace and have fun! Whatever I list off next are just suggestions that will give you the general idea on how to play the game. 2. What you were playing today where Character Story quests. They differ from the usual World (side) quests, mainly that they are focused on one characters story/beliefs/ideals and they are entirely voiced. There are Story Quests for nearly all of the 5* characters and the starter 4* characters. They either introduce these characters to you, or delve into them even further if you have met them before in the story. When you unlock them be sure to do them as you really get to know the characters and how they think! 3. You have noticed that you have been gathering books, but some have not showed up in your inventory. That's because these items go to the "Archive" in the Paimon menu. There you will see just how much lore there is in the game! I would especially pay attention to weapons and artifacts in the archive, as they have more lore than just the brief description displayed on the equip screen. 4. On the topic of artifacts and weapons, character building is a big part of the game. While you are probably just going to be a casual player, learning to build characters can help you enjoy them more in combat, as you have mentioned that you want to understand the combat system a bit better. All characters have a talent page where you can read what there skills do and how much they scale based on your stats, as well a s the passive talents they will unlock as you progress. You can just take a loo at the info just to have an idea of what stats to look for in weapons and artifacts. Equipping weapons for style is definitely a valid way to play, but some weapons have good effects that will help your character. For example, you put a blood-stained greatsword on Noelle. While it looks good, the debate club is arguably the best early game weapon for her. Artifacts are what every sweaty player obsesses over. You will eventually get comments from people trying to tell you what sets are best for you characters, but as a casual player you shouldn't worry too much. As long as you read the characters talents, you should have a generally Idea for what stats to give characters on artifacts. Just a bit of advice at the start, unless stated otherwise in the talents, aim for ATK and energy recharge on the artifacts for comfier play. 5. Team building doesn't really matter as a casual player. Play who you want and what feels nice to you. But keep in mind that the combat system revolves around elemental reactions caused by the interactions between the elements. As you don't have many characters right now, don't worry about it too much, but as you will eventually get more characters, try to pay attention to what interactions you like best and try out some teams that can benefit from that reaction. Try reading some of the elemental reaction tutorials too to see what they do. 6. And finally, wishing. As a free to player, you will never get every character in the game. I'm sure you understand this, so just save your primogems and Intertwined fates (the pink and blue circular wishing currency) until a character you want shows up on a banner. Every time the character banner changes (they last 3 weeks) the test run characters also change so players can try out the banner 5*s and the rate up 4*s. unless you want to be full on immersion and don't want to try/wish for characters you haven't met yet. I definitely recommend trying the test run and reading the talents to see if you enjoy their playstyle. Currently, you are VERY early in the game and the character kits are fairly simple and straight forward. The newer characters have much more complex kits and may be harder to understand, but I would still recommend trying them out and getting a feel for them. And don't be discouraged if you don't get the banner 5*, all limited 5*s will rerun eventually and you can try again if you still want them. Apologies for the essay, I just really enjoy Genshin and it seems like you are too, so I just want you get as much as possible out of the game. Any ways, have fun, there is a lot to the game you have yet to experience and I look forward to you seeing them!

Someone probably already said this but the secret to killing the little guys in the shields (abyss mages), is actually about the same as most creatures, you gotta use the opposite element to break the shield and defeat them, ice shield -> pyro to melt it, hydro -> ice to freeze it, pyro -> hydro to vaporize it (other elements work as well)! Biggest damages comes from reactions with different elements, like with slimes etc Also! In the archive there's all the lore in one place (primo screen -> archive), there's fun stories like the lore on the skyrider sword you're using, or there's overall story/world lore in the books and enemies etc, it would be a lot of fun if you did an episode dedicated to just the lore and books etc like you mentioned

This amber and kaeya quests are called Story Quests. There are 3 type of quests which are Archon quests, Story Quests, and World Quests. Archon quests which is the main storyline quest. Story Quests are character specific quests that focuses on that specific characters and give more lore about them. World Quests are side quests which can be just simple quests OR super-lore-important-and-super-long quests that just makes you understand more about the world of Teyvat.

Not sure if anyone’s already explained about the gacha currency, but in short There are 4 gacha currencies that you need to differentiate. 1. Acquaint fate: used to wish on the standard banner and the beginner banner. Looks like a blue orb. One acquaint fate equals one wish 2. Intertwined fate: used to wish on the limited character and limited weapon banner. Looks like a more pinkish blue orb. One intertwined fate equals one wish 3. Primogems: the gems that you would collect by completing quests, unlocking waypoints, doing events, reading tutorials, etc. can be converted to acquaint fate as well as intertwined fate at a 160 primogem to 1 fate of your choice. 4. Genesis crystals: the currency you get by spending money. Can be converted to primogem at a 1 to 1 conversion rate (one genesis crystal to one primogem)

Thank you for the video! New players bring me nostalgia, such a wholesome playthrough, your playstyle is very cozy I like it. Play as you want and as fast as you want. New characters are not so important for quests and travel, so always pull only if you want to. I hope you will enjoy the game! I would recommend reading tutorials for better understanding of surroundings and reactions. Also base ATK is not always the best stat for choosing the weapon, always read the second stat and bonuses! If you don't know what stat is better for a character, you can read their talents (for example Noelle's shield and her healing are working on her DEF stat, so for her a weapon with DEF stat would be the best choice, but if you wanna use her as a attacker, then ATK or CRIT would be fine)

Hey Roamer! It's great to see you enjoying the game. To clear up further doubts, this is how the gacha system works: There are three different kinds of banners: the permanent, the promocional and the weapons one. - The permanent banner is the one in the last place (the one with Qiqi and Keching). Wishing at it, you can get any 4 star character and weapon and a set amount of 5 star characters and weapons. Basically the system here works so that once every 100 wishes you get a 5 star character or weapon for sure, your probabilities increase when you surpass the 70 wishes. To wish at it, you need the blue wishes. You can get them for free by leveling up or as certain rewards, so I advise against buying them. - There are two promotional banners, right now, they are featuring Raiden and Yoimiya. These banners change after a certain amount of time, showing different characters that are impossible to get otherwise. In other words, you won't get these through the permanent banner. This is why people usually save their pink wishes and primogems for, and I recommend you do the same thing. If you miss a character you want from this banner, you may have to wait years for it to come back. Like in the permanent one, you get one 5 star for sure in every 100 pulls and your probabilities of getting one soon increase after 70 pulls. However, there's what we call the 50/50. When you finally get a 5 star character from this banner, there's a 50% chance that, instead of being the one you wanted, it ends up being one from the permanent banner (another reason to not waste your primogems there). Also, every promocional banner features 3 4 star characters, it means that, while you attemp to get the 5 star one, there's an increased chance for you to get those 3 4 stars. - The weapons banner always feature the weapons that better suit the characters from the promotional banner. However, altough you get a 5 star weapon for sure once etween 80 pulls, there's two chances that it won't be the one you're looking for. Unless you're willing to spend real money, don't bother with this one. Because you're a new player, you also have the begginers banner (the one you used to pull Noelle). It's like the permanet one, but with a discount, and you can only do 20 pulls there. So, for now, spend your blue wishes there before switching to the permanent one. Also, check out the part of the shop called Paimons bargains. There, you can buy wishes with money from the game, no real currency involved. You can change your primogems for pink wishes (again, you can also buy blue ones there but I don't recommend you doing it), and also coins that you get while wishing for other character. Oh, almost forgot. In the events part of the menu there's something called New Sensations that allows you to try the featured character form the promocional banner. That way, you can see if they match your playstyle and wether you want to pull for them or not. However, I don't recommend you pull for any of the current characters. Tney are useful and pretty strong, but they are from a region you can't access yet, so yu won't be able to level them up. I know this is a lot to take in but is important you understand it. Something to keep in mind is that elements effects that work on enemies also work on you. Every time you’ve been frozen has been because of the hydro and cryo both hitting you. Just like Kaeya can freeze wet enemies

I played this game for like three months and i really love it. A small advice from a new player like me, just "Avoid Spoiler"..Unlike me, I regrets playing with my friend who likes to spoils everythings it really make the game story unenjoyable. But for the character trailers & teasers like the other comments mentions... i don't think it'll spoil the quest story...yet, I'd like to see how you react on those cuz, ITS SO COOL!!!

Be careful when recycling 3 star weapons cause there is a limited amount you can get from opening chests! so if you want to collect them heres the list: Swords: Fillet Blade, Traveler's Handy Sword // Claymores: Skyrider Greatsword, White Iron Greatsword // Polearms: Halberd, White Tassel // Catalysts: Otherwolrdly Story, Twin Nephrite, // Bows: Messenger, Recurve Bow. Later on you can get a Dark Iron Sword which only one copy exists!! (it looks very cool) Just wanted to mention cause I made the mistake of recycling them haha oh and you are AR10 so you get a free standard 10 pull for free in your mail! goodluck on your wishes :3

I can see that you struggle a little with combat - a pro tip is using elemental skills and bursts to react with each other. The way to get most dmg in genshin is elemental reactions. For example slimes are always one element so you want to use elemental skills from a different element to react but other opponents you’ll have to apply it yourself usually. For example, pyro+cryo= melt, pyro+hydro= vaporize, cryo+hydro= freeze, pyro+electro= overload, hydro+electro= electrocharged. So keep swapping characters and use their elemental skills and bursts, trust me it will make a huge difference!!! Love that you’re enjoying the game and appreciate the fast uploads:))

Harbinger of dawn is actually a really useful weapon when it’s leveled up and refined. It gives you a big crit boost as long as you have a good healer and/or shielder to heel your hp up

The game has a lot of emphasis on elemental reactions. Color of the enemies often tells their element. Red for Pyro (fire). blue for Hydro (water) light blue or white for Cryo (Ice) Purple for electro, Brown or rocklike for Geo (Stone). each element is resistant to the same element like using a pyro character against a pyro enemy or cryo character like kaeya vs a cryo enemy. for Pyro enemies, use Kaeya (cryo) for a melt reaction. If you use lisa or any electro character vs Pyro enemies, your create an overload reaction (explosive), Lisa or any Electro character will react with a couple of elements. electro vs cryo enemies for supercharged which decreases enemy defenses, also electro is good vs hydro enemies for superconduct which also arches between hydro affected enemies that are near each other. amber or any pyro character you get later on is good against dendro enemies for damage over time burn reaction, also melt reaction vs cryo enemies and vaporize reaction vs hydro enemies. The traveler who is currently anemo (wind) can swirl any element which spreads the element to nearby enemies for aoe reactions when you create elemental reaction with other elements. Every character has their elemental skill (r2 or E) which you should use often whenever theyre off the cooldown timer then switch to a different character to create reactions. Elemental burst requires energy which may come from any attack hitting enemies, once energy is full, make sure to use your burst at the appropriate time to maximize your damage. Noelle (Geo) is a shielder, you should use her R2 or E (elemental skill) when off cooldown coz the shield stays even if you switch to other characters. Also occasionally, Geo will react with other elements as crystalize which when any of your characters get in contact with these crystals produced with crystalize reactions, a shield of the same element as the crystal is gained by your characters for extra damage mitigation.

number one thing to bear in mind when decision making : this is a free game. (... ummm ... unless the decision is about spending money). ps: (i haven't seen most of the video yet) In my opinion, her best weapon that you have for Noelle is Debate Club.* (The Elemental Mastery** stat on the Bloodstained Greatsword isn't much use for her.) She's a great general purpose character. She can shield, she can heal. But you have to figure out how it works. Check out Talents in the character menus to see what their attacks/skills/ultimates do. /maybe this is a step too far in advice. Is it spoilery? /Elemental Mastery is for damage when there's elemental reactions .. eg. when elec hits something affected by pyro, or anemo blows against something affected by pyro, etc. Noelle is a Geo character. Geo elemental reaction with another element doesn't do damage. So the Elemental Mastery isn't of use with Geo characters.

- Lock weapons so you don't accidently use them as fodder - that is what the red padlock means. You can still use them when locked! That makes using the 'Auto Add' feature usefull for leveling. - Take time to look at all the red dots you have - you'll learn a lot! - Take time to read Talents as well! It explains how characters work, like Noelle. - Marjorie's Shop, eventually you will by out ALL the items. There are just enough sigils in the world to get everything. I would focus on the two highest items first though as they are really valuable. The billets allow you to craft your own weapons and can be a pain to farm for in boss battles. The Roving Gale is a constellation "copy" for the Traveler which makes him stronger overall!

For the free characters, some are actually quite good. But i do need to explain some terminology before hand: Main DPS: your on fielder who auto attacks Sup DPS: damage dealer that can deal damage while not on the field Support: aids in survivability and damage application. Battery: a battery is a character that can create a lot if elemental particles. This allows for more elemental bursts. Keaya is a good early game main dps and pair great with 2 other characters. Keaya and lisa can superconduct, this reduces enemies physical defense. Allowing auto attacks to deal more damage Keaya and xiangling, both elemental burst can be used off field and melt deals a lot of damage. Xiangling and barbara. Barbara can heal and allow xianglings elemental burst to vaporize dealing massive damage. Noelle and Geo traveler. Noelle is a great on fielder, damage dealer, tank and healer. But she doesn’t create her own energy. Hence you need geo traveler. Lynette and any Pyro, Cryo, Hydro or Electro character. Her elemental burst can absorb one of these elements. Collei and Lisa, aggravate is a strong reaction. There are 2 main team archetypes. Hypercarry teams and quickswap teams. A hypercarry team is a team where 1 character is the main damage dealer while the others support said character with elemental reaction or buffing effects. A quickswap team is a team where you swap a lot between character, trying to maintain as much uptime on your abilities. But in the early game, it doesn’t matter a lot and you can get away with a lot of shenanigans

1:35:16 These elemental shields need to be broken with correct element if you want to break it efficiently. This is a pyro shield so its best using hydro but you dont have a hydro character yet. You can get Barbara for free after you clear the main storyline iirc. Barbara is a hydro character. If you are lucky you could get a hydro character through your banner pulls. About elemental shields, Pyro shield - use hydro Cryo shield - use pyro hydro shields - use cryo/dendro Geo shields - use claymore/heavy attacks/sometimes geo attacks works unless theyre immune. There are also some special shields that you will find the further you explore the world.

If you want a tip for better dodging: when you run you get some invincibility frames, so if you dash forward when youre about to get hit, you wont take damage. Similarly your elemental burst (triangle) gives invincibility frames too Side note i love that youre really paying attention to things like the towns, world building, npcs ect. As everything in Genshin, it only gets better, and the beginning of the game is mostly to get you familiar with the world and the mechanics And when it comes to giving too many compliments, never apologize for liking something. I feel like people can be very harsh towards games if they aren't 100% perfect, so its nice to hear something positive

The spring at springvale lore is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD, so beautiful and so sad, I think this lore gets finished later when you hit Fontaine region and do the story quest for there. I had literally forgot about that from early game, I had just put this together. UpdatE: after some searching, this lore was concluded in a limited time event last year. Sad
