Hey hey Let's talk about the distractions going on elsewhere I, keep hearing footsteps baby In the dark, oh in the dark Why? I keep hearing footsteps baby In the dark Oh in the dark, hoo My mind Just now and then Looking down dark corridors and wonders what might have been Something's up ahead Hey, should I keep this same direction Or go back instead? I, keep hearing footsteps baby In the dark, oh in the dark Why? I keep hearing footsteps baby In the dark Oh in the dark, hoo Honey let's stop walking around When there's love lost to be found Aah, you Know I still care, I still care What's the sense in going elsewhere? Who feels, really sure? Can I really guarantee your happiness shall endure? Do we, really care? Hey hey Let's look at what's been happening and try to be more aware I, keep hearing footsteps baby In the dark, oh in the dark Why? I keep hearing footsteps baby In the dark Oh in the dark, hoo Let's stop walking around Well when there's love, lost to be found Oh baby, you Know, I still care, I still care What's the sense in going elsewhere? This song Plays in the end of my game, when niko and Kate was driving to the wedding. Niko was promissing Kate that he will protect her, 5 minutes later Kate dies in his arms... GTA 4 is a masterpiece.

I’m in my 20s and I just love when my elders ask me what I know about them. I remember one man said, what are you doing listening to the Isley brothers 😂 it’s almost as if they are proud of me for listening to this group. I’ve just always been an old soul.

My daughters mother left almost a few months ago. I used to think of her every time I heard this and that hasn’t changed. I sang it to her. I stumbled across this once again after thinking it didn’t hurt for all these months, and I finally just broke and cried. What’s the sense of going elsewhere? Why did she go elsewhere? I don’t know which hurts more, that there was someone else or that she just could care less about our little baby girl.

Every aspect and instrument of this tune is phenomenal. As a 70's baby, I love the fact that I used to hear this on 8-track tapes in my Dad's Torino and Cadillac. Never thought I'd appreciate it as much as I do and still blast this religiously when I yearn for good music. Love this group.

It's beautiful to see the hip-hop's artists taking these samples to make their beats and music, but there's nothing like the original recordings wit'a lotta of feeling and originality. We need to respect the forefathers and legends of music, and I think it's a shame when somebody make a dumb ass tune sampling a classic. Much props to Ice Cube who made a lotta of youngstas pay attention and recognize the value of artists like The Isley Brothers.

I'm 52 and this, right here right now, is my first time listening to this original version. And I happen to be a huge fan of R&B and hip hop. How this escaped me is beyond me lol. I was in my early 20's listening of course to Ice Cube's rendition back in the day, and more recently the cover by Cannons. All three versions are amazing imo, but much appreciation for the Isley Brothers for creating this incredible song! That bass, percussion, lyrics and vocals, need I say more.

Footsteps in the Dark: This legendary cut is the "Heart Pulling" song of the album as Ronald Isley blend his smooth lead lyrics the heartbeat bass line...while telling his story...makes you cry like the heartbreak experienced years ago just happened again. The Legendary Isley Brothers in their prime...need I dare say more? I absolutely love this entire album. It's truly one of their many long string of masterpieces produced between 1975 thru 1980. Everything Ronald Isley sings is gold. It brings back great memories for me of the summer of 1977. This "Go For Your Guns" album was #1 on the R&B charts that whole summer...for several weeks. Thanks so much for sharing!
