I'm thinking on taking English literature at university but I would love to know a little bit more, would you ever consider doing a sit down video all about it?? Unfortunately for us overseas, our instructors see fit to assign loads of take-home work over the supposed "break" and then have the audacity to inquire "Did you go anywhere on holiday over the break?" LOL. With regards to dorm life, the school I attend has so many repair requests that it took them 3 months to repair our severely leaking shower- my flatmates and I are still getting water on our heads from the gents above us. Anyway, Jack, have a restful and prosperous break. Thank you for another great video.

Alright mate, maybe you should be fucking grateful when you go home. I get absolutely Jack all from my parents and I'm expected to pay rent before every week I'm there (including the Easter break). I'm not calling you out or anything, honestly good for you for having that support, just... I don't know... be wise to where you stand in the world and don't take it for granted.

The best things about being home are being able to have are much gravy as you want (or food in general) and having good quality toilet paper. The worst things are being told how to do jobs you now do all the time (like mum, I know how to load a washing machine now) and not seeing your friends every day.

Oh my god this is so relatable, I once accidentally called my uni accommodation 'home' and my mum got so offended. And it is really tough going back to being a 'child' almost after being an 'adult' for so long, but i'll always appreciate spending time with my family (and eating my mum's homemade lasagne coz u know...food).

Honestly the biggest difference between uni and Home is people opinions on daytime drinking. A couple G+Ts to help with that essay fine. A VK a day keeps the doctors away. Turns it not the same at home.

But for me, if I study overseas, it is a 8-12 hour flight to get home, depending on the destination. If I study locally I typically do not have to live on campus as the commute home from uni is very fast.

Honestly, going to a uni on the other side of the country was the best decision for me! It's daunting at first, but you get to really immerse yourself in your new part-time home and kind of call it your own. It also makes you appreciate time back with your family even more and make the most of every moment with them!
